Part 6As RK drove to work the next day he wondered if Madhu would come today. But then he wasn't sure until how long she decides to stay away. He even cursed himself for behaving so nosy yesterday. If he hadnt sat there Madhu would still be coming to meet him. But now she was ignoring him.
In the afternoon RK was busy in his work as he set the clauses of the contract.
There was a knock at the door and he irately sounded a 'hmmm'. He didnt want to be disturbed in the middle of this work. He heard nervous footsteps entering the cabin to which he got even more irritated. Why cant the person just tell what he wants and then go away quickly.
He looked up with a frown only to see a nervous Madhu standing while looking everywhere except for him.
Suddenly he forgot that he was irritated.
"Hey..." he sounded.
Madhu smiled nervously. "Hi".
"What? When did you start knocking my door?" He asked curiously.
"Today..." Madhu let out a nervous laugh.
"Why?" He asked confused
"Wait.. did u mean I am ill mannered that I dont knock your door?" She said getting angry "Do I really dont knock your door?" Suddenly her tone changed as if thinking to herself.
"That is not the question Miss Madhu.. What happened? You seem occupied?" He asked her getting worried.
"Yeah...I wanted to apologize..." she said nervous again.
"Ahmmm... and what for?" He asked resting his chin on his fist thoughtfully.
"I called you Rishu.. I know you dont like being called by your first name while I..." she stopped not knowing what else to say.
"Come on... That is not even worth apologizing..." RK refuted her.
"Means you are not upset about it?" She asked confused..
"Not at all..." he said casually.
"Ohhh thank god.. I was so worried since yesterday.. I didn't want to face you ever... but then I thought how long would I ignore you... At the most you would scold me or put me on extra work load.. so i thought that i should better just apologize for it..." she chattered as she got relieved of her tension. "Actually it was your fault...If you hadnt suddenly changed your place this wouldnt have happened.."
RK smiled seeing her. Such a baby she was..
"Yes my fault..." he said nodding his head.
"But you need to apologize for something else..." he said teasingly.
"What?" Madhu's face tensed again.
"For not giving me company for lunch yesterday... I thought you would sit with me..." he said seriously.
"Are you flirting with me?" She asked with a frown.
"Is this flirting?" RK asked delighted himself. He didn't know he could flirt. He thought only Sultan had that capability.
" Yes it is.." Madhu said firmly keeping her hands at her waist.
"And do I need to say sorry for that?" He asked genuinely.
Madhu opened her mouth to say a 'yes' but then she smiled seeing his innocent face..
"No you dont.." she said smiling.
"Okay..." RK smiled at her too.
She was about to turn back when she said to him. "I wont call you Rishu again.." she said genuinely smiling.
"No... please call me that..." RK suddenly reverted back not wanting that to happen.
"Why?" Madhu asked confused.
"Ammm because this way the girls would stay away.. right?" He said finding an excuse.
"Yeah right.. The blind girls...!" Madhu rolled her eyes which made RK chuckle. She would really shamelessly say that infront of him.
"But I thought you dont like to be called by your first name... you scolded Dipali right?" She said.
"Thats because you are not blind..." he said chuckling to her.
"Yeah right.." Madhu agreed whole heartedly and she turned to go away.

RK was walking past Madhu's desk when he noticed her sitting with her files. Her nose hunched at her glasses while she looked at the file with narrowed eyes. She was too much focused on her work. RK couldnt help but smile seeing her. She looked so cute.
"Madhu..." he called out to disturb her for fun.
Madhu frowned like a child. "Hmmm" she said without looking up.
"What hmmm? Look up.." he said demandingly.
"Just speak up Rishu... I dont have time.." Madhu said still engrossed in her work.
RK's heart skipped a beat hearing her talking to him saying Rishu.
"I would feel bad if you dont look at me.." he said.
"Yes you may..." she said in a non chalant tone
"I am your Boss.. Its my order..." he said in a firm tone.
Madhu gasped hearing him and forgot about her work. She looked up at him with wide eyes.
"Are you saying that?" She exclaimed in disbelief.
"See.. now you are not busy..." he said looking at her teasingly.
" What is it?" Madhu asked angrily.
"Nothing... Just thought to say hi.. HI!!" RK said waved his hand at her.
Madhu's jaw dropped. "That is bad manners Rishu..! Disturbing someone while work.." Madhu said glaring at him.
"Well... Good you taught me to say sorry..." RK said smirking.
"Arghhh... You are unbelievable.. now Goodbye" she said as she lowered her head back to her files. RK smiled seeing her and walked off.
He entered Mr. Kapoor's cabin.
"Excuse me" he said while half inside. He could never get himself to say 'May I come in' though Madhu had taught him that a lot. But asking for permission to enter. "Nah!! Not RK style" he had said to Madhu that time.
"Yes.. Mr. Kundra.. Please come in" he said pleased to see RK. "So.. what is it that brings you here?" He asked.
"Yes?" RK asked back confused.
"No.. actually you come to me only for some work right?" Mr. Kapoor said jokingly.
"I come to this building only for work.." RK said forcing a smile not liking his over friendliness.
Mr. Kapoor laughed out loud. "That is the reason I like you.." he said.
RK just smiled at him.
"Mr. Kapoor.. I am afraid there is a problem in finalizing the deal.." RK said acting worried.
"What is it Mr. Kundra...?" Mr. Kapoor said getting serious hearing RK's rone.
"There is this clause in this company's policy that for a contract to be made and finalized, Both parties should sign the papers infront of the lawyers of both parties in person." RK told him. Finally after long research and reading all policies of the Kapoor Industries RK had found this. And he was more than happy. Now only thing left was to get Kapoor to agree to this.
Mr. Kapoor looked at him for a few seconds, and then he took in a deep breath.
"I guess I will have to talk to Mr. Bhatia..." he said thinking to himself.
"You can get an alternate way for it.. but in any way around there have to be lawyers... If Mr. Bhatia cant come here then we may as well go there for final formalities..." RK deliberately used the word 'We' so that somewhere in Mr. Kapoor's subconscious its fed that RK has to be when Bhatia's are to met. He had feared that Mr. Kapoor would decide to go Austria himself and then all his purpose of coming here would be lost.
"Yes... I would talk to Mr. Bhatia today.. whatever is decided we will follow that..." Mr. Kapoor said smiling at him.
"Sure...!" RK said as he stood up to go away.
He stepped out of the room when he saw Madhu standing there again. All his stress evaporated that instant.
"Did I keep you waiting again?" RK said flirtingly.
"Yup... you did.." Madhu said in attitude.
"I like that you wait for me..." RK said smirking as he bent himself at the wall taking its support.
"I wasnt waiting for you..." Madhu said defensively.
"Ahaan... You will soon..." RK said.
"Really... we'll see..." Madhu challenged.
She walked to the door from his side.
"How about going for a ride today...?" RK couldn't help but ask her.
Madhu turned back with wide eyes and a naughty smile. "Are you asking me out?"
"Kind of..." RK said shrugging...
"I dont go out with my boss.." Madhu said teasingly.
"Really? When did you regard me your boss?" RK said amused.
"Just now..." Madhu said laughing and she went inside.
RK shook his head and went away. He was sitting in his cabin when he heard the door swing open. "Mr. Kundra..." came Madhu's voice.
"Yes.. Miss Malik...?" RK replied back amused.
"You may pick me up after office..." she said in attitude.
"Ohh... so you decided to go out with your boss?" RK teased her.
"When have I regarded you my boss..?" Madhu shrugged and then walked off while RK broke into a slight laugh hearing her.
