I thought I'd put down my thoughts about the past couple of episodes which have had some very poignant moments.
As I had mentioned in another post, I understood why Avni and Raj decided to run away. The circumstances surrounding them were as such. I liked the way they handled it, their obvious sadness and reluctance at leaving their families, but desperation to gain their love. The conflict was evident all throughout. One thing that stood out for me was Raj's reasons for not telling his family. His concern for their safety as well as the desire to be on the same footing as Avni with regards to the pain of being away from loved ones. This sort of fairness and honesty with respect to Avni is something I have always loved in Raj's character. On a lighter note, I must commend them on making a full proof running away plan, with money, house, job etc all settled. Much better than the usual living in jungles or villages and working on construction sites thing usually shown which is so illogical. đ
Now coming to the Avni Raj conversation in yesterday's episode. Avni is shown to be mulling over something and later apologises to Raj. This was a beautiful moment. Ever since the truth has come out, Raj has had to face the brunt of the reaction. Disapproval, insults and what not. To top it all, nothing worked and now they had to run away. Somewhere, Avni feels responsible for all of this and hence wants to apologise. She is also subconsciously surprised and grateful that Raj still never backed down. What Raj does after this was even more beautiful. He tells her to never apologise to him. This is so much in tune with Raj's character. Doing all this was never a question for him. To him, its as natural as breathing because his love is that much a part of his life. It goes very deep. He then asks for a hug. Which is as much to reassure himself as her that everything is going to be all right. And then the adorable forehead kiss! I always am partial to them so I loved it. So cute and innocent.
They finally do not go through with getting married and come back to face the family, which takes a lot of courage. Raj apologises to everyone because he knows they were wrong. And then comes the awesome conversation with Suket. All his love, hopelessness, despair, frustration comes out in a torrent in those five minutes. Each sentence of that rant showcases his love for Avni and commitment to his family. These qualities are precious and extremely important, which Raj has in abundance. No wonder Suket gave in! His outburst at the Khandelwal house after finding out about Avni's rishta was also well done. He can't believe that they can actually find someone else for her.
And finally, the relief and love in the eyes of both Avni and Raj on finding out the truth was beautiful. The look that passed between them was filled with so much happiness that it was adorable!
