I remember two exceptions. In the serial "hasratein" the other woman was more sensible than the wife. There was another soap -- forget the name, was it Sparsh? -- where the character played by Mahesh Thakur fell in love with a second woman who was way better than the wife.

I'm not saying that wives should be portrayed negatively but just pointing out that our serials have regressed over time and are now more and more stereotypical.

Gauri - CVs have now really portrayed her as a hopeless case. Her emotions have once again surfaced and she has soft corner for J that is ok - given that she doesnt know the truth and thinks he is still single. but the once smart, intelligent girl cannot make out that J is actually not all interested in her? is it so hard to see or maybe she doesnt want to come out of her lala land.

Ganga - why did she click in first place? in all this she is sufferring the most. but she has no one to blame. she called this upon herself. she could have easily refused for this fake drama then and there. infact J was not ready to hide the truth but she convinced him. so now this is the bonus of her mahaanta. its high time she starts answering back Gauri. atleast now when she will ask her to stay away from J and BH. Ganga need not tell the truth but can surely shut Gauri up as Gauri doesnt have any rights in BH or on J on date.

Jagya - he was going in the right direction till the point he agreed to hide his marriage to Ganga. apologising to Gauri, truth about anandi, telling no to hiding drama. but he knows how Gauri is , maybe when he agreed to Shivani he thought Gauri has no feelings left and so will let her know later. but going by last few days event he should know that its high time they tell the truth. He knows that Gauri is rekindling hopes and he also knows her nature. this should be enough trigger to tell her the truth.

if later Gauri blames him and BH people for hiding truth she wont be wrong. yes, she should blame her parents and Shivani equally for hiding the truth. But there is going to be grand showdown now.

Maybe anandi will do the honours in her intoxicated state.
