One of the reasons I love this show is how real it is. I've been there - the special occasion that you have so many grand expectations from, and how it doesn't quite turn out the same.
On our wedding anniversary, I wanted to buy my darling hubby a coffee maker for his office. The man is addicted to his coffee, after all! He took the IPad and saw what I had been looking up online, and grandly told me not to spend so much money on one gift. He also told me 'great idea' and then I found that he had booked a splendid getaway for us. So he gets to be generous, and I don't?! We had a huge fight, in which I was the one doing most of the screaming. It has become one a source of both taanabaazi and laughter over the next couple of years - 'remember the coffee machine I got you for our anniversary? Oh wait, I didn't'.
In short, moments like these, that touch your heart, remind you of your own life, stay with you, put a smile on your face even as you ruefully acknowledge that this is what loving and living together is like - I'd given up on Indian TV for such moments. Love the show!

Totally agree...hubby saying fasting ki zaroorat nahi...wife explaining it is her belief...is also pretty real...I loved the Vrat opening scene today...n I loved that it was not total mush...that wouldn't have suited the current relationship of Raman n ishita...
