Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol to come together for a film?

With his latest film, 'Singham Returns' garnering a good response, director Rohit Shetty is understandably on a new high these days.

But if sources are to be believed, he has another reason to smile: it turns out that he has signed on none other than Kajol opposite Shah Rukh Khan for his next film.

Says a source, "Rohit will be directing SRK in his next film and he has now signed on Kajol as the lead actress for the film. This is a indeed coup though everything is at the planning stage right now. In fact, the film's pre-production work has already begun and an official announcement should be made soon."

The source adds that Rohit is about to finish work on the final draft of the film's script. "It will go on the floors in the first half of 2015. Just last week, Rohit Shetty finalised Kajol as the leading lady of the film.

It was easy for him to sign her on as he shares a great equation with her actor husband, Ajay Devgn. It may be pointed out that Rohit also played the mediator between Ajay and Shah Rukh," says a source close to the director.

SRK and Kajol were seen last seen together in the 2010 film, My Name is Khan. Rohit Shetty and Kajol remained unavailable for comment.
