REALLY!! How conveniently you forgot that you are a queen too besides a wife, Jodha!!
I wish CVs remembered they are penning dialogs for a 16th century queen, not for a 21st century mamuli house-wife. It doesn't befit a queen saying people don't count for her. They speak ill of you, they mock your husband for your deeds, and you say I am least bothered!!
When the same people gossiped against your husband for house-arresting you, why did you shut them up if people's gossips doesn't bother you?
And why are you complaining that people are judgmental. They definitely don't reason with your explanation of changing clothes or cooking food, atleast not after seeing you run away with a wrong man while they are trying to save you.
You better knew there are times when your right intentions ended up in wrong results.
1.Your right intention of saving rabbits and deers, staked your husband's life.
2. Your right intention behind secret meetings with Sujamal, jeopardized your relationship with Jalal.
Still, why don't you think before acting? Why do you say "Meri mansha galat nahi tha, aap samajhne ki prayaas kijiye", rather introspecting yourself on what u did?
For me if the explanation of Jodha was some way near to these lines, it'd have been more justified:
"I actually didn't mean demeaning your judgement or honor Shehanshah. I was sorry for Khyber's plight, so I went to free him from pain. I thought I could convince him to stay away from awaam and you, as I believed he listens to me. I was nearly successful, but when I tried to commit suicide thinking that you no longer love me, he came for my rescue. He misunderstood that I'm not happy with you and abducted me. I didn't expect this consequence and I tried escaping from him many times. But when he again saved me from dacoits, I had no other go than following him. I couldn't see people hurting him for my sake, so I took him away from them fearing they'd kill him. In all this process, I had put you, me and our family at pressure for which I'm very sorry. I admit my mistake and I'm ready to apologize awam for the troubles they'd to face coz of me."
But the way the scene was executed in the serial, I felt it was a half-hearted apology from Jodha that too an incompletely justified one. I badly wished the commoner's gossip which reached Jalal's ears should have reached Jodha's too and she apologized the awaam there itself clarifying her stand. But, CVs made her deaf at that moment
This post is not to bash the actors or characters, but to retrospect the pitfalls in execution and how the whole scene could have been given a different treatment.
