In yesterdays episode krishna told droupadi tat since she was born out of fire and all her husbands were mantraprasad they were not killed in the viddhwans. But karna was also a mantraprasad. Then how come he had to face all miseries.I think wat they were trying to say may be he who is abandoned by mom will be abandoned by god itself.Otherwise Krishna or anyone else should have told karna about his lineage much before. not at the end point. Then he would not have been in kaurava side. They should have easily avoided a stage where karna had to accept duryodhanas friendship. I think someone's sacrifice was necessary on pandavas side.so they chose karna. Moreover it also says tat a secret can be revealed only by the permission if tat person itself who kept the secret.

I agree with you. Why didn't Kunti/Krishna reveal to Karna about his true identity much before? Why just before war? Karna was abandoned by everyone including his own mother. When she saw him for the first time at the competition between Kauravas and Pandavas, why didn't she speak up? If she would have done that on that day, Karna would have been on the Pandavas side. Yet she chose to stay mum until just before the war. And at such a time Dury stood by him. It is easy for us as a third person to talk about dharma/a dharma etc. But even now if I even go through what Karna did and someone stands by me, my loyalties would be towards that person. The so called followers of dharma (Bhisma, drona, Pandavas) could not see beyond caste. A mother couldn't protect her son from being abused by society. No wonder he stood by Dury.

Everyone liked him is a truth. Another truth is there were more bigger priorities than liking him. Anyhow, he was thrown into mud, so it was better for others to trample him and walk forwards, at least not to get their legs muddy. Hence everyone kept silence when their turn arrived and expressed their 'sadness' after crossing the mud trampling him deep into it. No other reasons I see. This is my personal opinion. Not intended to hurt any sentiments.

agree to you kunti should had mentioned about karna earlier...i think its the male dominated society responsible also...kunti's mistake was she feared the society and cared for her own respect than looking after your own baby...

karn's mistake was god told him the truth and gave him a chance to come over to the good side but karn gave importance to his promise rather than going on dharma's side...

secondly karn was ok to side with adharm but not ok to get his name tainted as a back stabber who left duryodhan before war..

Honestly, it is really difficult for us to understand the true relationship between Dury and Karna. Dury stood by Karna in his most difficult times. If I were in the same situation as Karna, maybe the best decision I would have taken is to not fight on Kauravas side...but also not be on Pandavas side. Just stay away from everyone. But that too is not easy. Like I said, it is easy for us to talk about dharm/adharm. Even to this day, we stand by our closest friends. If our close friend is really doing something bad, at best, we may not involve ourselves in that activity...but we are not going to switch to the other side, are we?
All the characters are flawed in this epic!
