Hi friends,
First of all it's a fun post.
I wrote in one of my previous posts that I didn't trust Cvs to give good dialogues to Jodha, and see exactly that happened yesterday. These writers always let Jodha down by not giving her good sensible lines. One thing I have noticed- they give best lines to Jalal and Mahamanga in the show. Honestly I don't remember even a single dialogue from Jodha in the show. Even Ruqaiya and Salima get better lines.
The reason I think is the writers (who are actually quite mediocre at their craft in the first place), are especially weak in Shudh hindi. The plight is not for Jodha only, almost all characters who speak hindi in the show go through it. Take the entire Amer family for instance. None of them leave much impression bcoz of that. Man Singh has just started getting dialogues now, even Todermal who is otherwise such a strong character, gets raw deal.
I think they do slightly better with Urdu dialogues- but here also they don't show much variety. It's like they pick some good urdu lines from here and there and use them time and again. Tell me how many times u have heard the- 'Jabaaz Sipaahi' and 'faulad sina' wala dialogue from Ruqaiya. Everyone from Atga khan, to Hamida Banu, Salima Begum - say same dialogues over and over again.
Now we all (Most of us) were disappointed, how could Jalal utter the same lines he said to Jodha, during his love confession to Atifa (fake/real)? Now I feel the answer is- simply because his dialogue writers cannot write anything else. They have their vocabulary full with offensive, vulgar, pathetic to hear, indecent words- incapable of writing delightful romantic lines. Ab bechara Jalal keya kare?
Hum bekar hi Jalal par bharas nikal rahethe? 🤣
If the writers ever get a chance to work in a movie, which I do not think they will- we may get to see hero saying similar lines to his lady love even there. Same "Meri Wajood tumse hai", " Iss dil ka mein keya karu?" "Na jaane kiun, tumahi taraf khicha chala ja rahahu" lines...
What u say guys?
