Author's comments Hello friends. This is my last update for this show as we are in the last week of the airing. I want to take this opportunity to thank all those who read and liked my updates. I have been associated with this forum since it's inception and I made many friends here . I want to thank all of them. It was an honour to be the coolbie of this forum. Thank you all. Special thanks to global moderators Melz and Shru for giving me the opportunity
And all those who copied my updates to other sites I hope It was worth it

Parikshit: the one tested at birth
One whose life is divine will, him no man can kill

the episode starts with the Bramhastra hitting Uttara's womb . She screams loudly. Draupadi and Subhadra rush inside the tent. Uttara is in lot of pain. Draupadi says nothing will happen to you and the baby. Our future cannot die. She screams Govind,
Vasudev is very angry with Ashvathama. He says what you have done the evilest people have not done. You will be punished more that Dhritrashtra, Duryodhan, Shakuni, Ravan , Kansa and hiranyakashyapu. He commands his Sudarshan chakra and it goes and cuts the mani from Ashvathama's head. He body becomes discoloured. Vasudev says you have no fear of death so I curse you to live till the end of time . Your body will decay. Every pore will bleed but death will not come to you. No one will come near you people will hate you and you will roam around wishing for death but it won't come, you will be alone till the end of time
The scene shifts to the tent. Uttara is in deep pain and all the women are crying. Pandavas come there and says Ashvathama has hit her with Bramhastra . Our future is dead. Draupadi says this can't happen. Subhadra shouts that her Abhimanyu's child cannot die. She goes to Vasudev and says I am yogmaya I protected you and brother Balram . Now please protect my family's future. Vasudev says don't cry Subhadra. Future has to survive from the debris of the past. He goes and places his hand on Uttara's womb. He says I Vasudev Krishna through all my punya make this child alive again. Uttara's pain subsides and vanishes and baby is revived.
Krishna says this baby's soul has been purified because he faced death inside his mother's womb. This baby was tested at birth hence he will be famous as Parikshit
Later Draupadi asks Vasudev why was this war necessary. Couldn't he do miracle and bring people on the path of Dharma. Krishna says miracles do not change people. Soul is a part of The Lord it has free will. Soul has a choice whether to choose dharma or adharma
Draupadi says but why so much destruction. The pain of the body seems more in imagination but less in suffering. Pain of the heart is much more in reality. With my every sons death I am dealing like my body part has been amputated
At that Krishna says Aryavrat had many Adharmi kings . Prajna does what the king does just like children do what parents do hence Adharma was spreading and so it was necessary. It was necessary to completely wipe out the burden of the past
Draupadi says then why are we living. We too are burdened from the past. Krishna says Draupadi you are born of fire and your husbands had a divine birth. You did not have the linage of past blood . You were chosen ones to bring about change.

Wonder if Parkshit being killed by bhramastra sequence was truly necessary. I would have liked if author would have dealt with offspring in better manner. It's not important for Pandu's offspring to run the nation after war. It could have been anyone's son or probably an adopted son.

The Mahabharat as a story instill the belief that son does well in same arena as parents. It was age old belief and Modern mahabharat should have dealt better with issue. Karna could not have been a great warrior if he was not Kshatriya or yadav. Wonder how they justified Drona asking for eklayva thumb and why drona was not punished. Anyway no point debating a historic story...

Well I am sure in future generation Harry Potter or our Mahatma Gandhi may be treated as God and even today there are many believer for both. If we objectively look at Mahabharat then we will notice that it just preached the concepts that were followed by generation afterwards or generation afterwards got a life direction providing book. Gita Gyan being it's biggest outcome.

I don't wish to challenge belief but lot of points in this book are unbelievable:

1) Ghandhari 100 sons?? Yudhistir was 44 years when battle happened how can Ghandhari give birth to 100 sons, (ready to fight with age more than 16 years, Abhimanyu youngest warrior was 16)? Hope no magic pot story as Uttara son was in womb and process of birth has not changed

2) Pandav birth story

3) Sun God in modern context (for that matter Indra, wind etc)

4) Sometime with no of gang rape stories i.e nirbhaya, mumbai etc & number of people sleeping on streets/platforms currently in media circulation, wonder if old time adharm was higher than in current modern world? Wonder why God is not taking incarnation now. Or if he waiting to wage world war 3

5) Was Pandhav pain of losing parikshit more than army parents losing their single son for nation? How many family would have lost their next generation in the war if had happened

6) Dhronacharya taking eklayva thumb in name of kingdom, is their any worse example of duru dakshina? It's worst punishment ever a teacher can give. May be writter was a teacher himself and wanted to project for superiority of teacher position and better remuneration for teacher. We are fighting for 6 year old Rhea in bangalore and teacher status has changed to pathetic level in society.

These are just my thinking and makes me believe it's a story. If you search web than you will find some people justifying how some of this could have happened. However the reason we need justification is enough to say Mahabharat is a story written by winner to trash opponents and say good thing about winners.

Also no one knows if Gita Gyan is true or someone imagination. Do people really have next birth or ...

I don't need answers. It was just @Nandini responded to my original message and I thought of clarifying why I believe what I believe. WU is right at the top for anyone to read. The discussion started with Krishna saving parkshit comment.

I am not active at india forum any longer. Following very few threads and not sure where comments belonged. So anyone who want to move is most welcome.

I no way mean to offend anyone but people should look at points objectively and answer them for themselves...And @Nandini thanks for prompt WU. I had to come and read as I missed the episode and when I read I could not help but had to comment...
