Vivek Oberoi in Shootout...

It takes merely a hit film to change fortunes and attitudes in Bollywood. Or so actor Vivek Oberoi seems to think. The actor has increased his fee four-fold since the release of Shootout At Lokhandwala.

Vivek hiked his fee for a product launch event within days of his film's release. What's more, he did not even inform the organisers about his new improved fee structure. A source from a leading MNC says, "The company wanted Vivek Oberoi to launch a product, the event which was planned around May-end. After speaking to the actor, the deal was finalised for Rs 5 lakh. He requested them to postpone the launch event as his film was scheduled to release on May 25 and he would be occupied with the promotional activities. Accordingly, the launch was postponed to June 13 to suit the actor's schedule."

Little did the organisers know that they were in for a big surprise. "After Shootout… released, the representatives of the MNC tried getting in touch with Vivek as per plans to decide upon the details and plan the event. But all in vain. They were baffled, and lwft wondering what was going on. Despite their repeated efforts to get in touch with him, Vivek remained unavailable to them," says our source.

Adds the source, "At last, they managed to contact Suresh Oberoi, who informed them that they could further talk about the deal only if the organisers agreed to pay Rs 21 lakh instead of Rs 5 lakh, as decided earlier."

Needless to say, the organisers were stunned when they heard this. The actor, who had initially committed to them had suddenly raised his fee to a whopping Rs 21 lakh within three to four days of the release of his film. Obviously, they gave up the idea of having Vivek Oberoi for their event and went to another celebrity instead.

Ok this is one quality about Vivek that he needs to erase, the way he gets big-headed far too quickly. One success and his attitude changes. 😆
