Yes, I know I am late, š³very late actually but Kya Karu Dimaag hi nehi chal raha tha š¤¢and when it decided to work well it worked too much and you would see the samples below. š
Chappals, Rotten tomatoes and eggs are welcome for my pathetic attempt on poetry again but as I said my brain it was overworking this morning š.
Now without further bak bak here goes the Prologue.š
The Sun Is Rising
(Again a big HUGš¤ to my Sweet Chav for this beautiful banner, who will kill me with her emotional talks if I said Thank You so I decided the Hug is betterš, but Sis you rock and I love youā¤ļø know that too š)
Prologue
The wounds have dried,
The scars are still there,
They remind me of our pain,
Now it's time for us to heal together.
If love I get in return
I am ready to take all the pain you have to offer,
We are all we have, we are all we need,
Time, beyond and forever.
And with the new dawn breaking,
With new dreams shaping,
I watch the sun is rising,
With the belief of a new beginning.
Khushi dragged open her lazy eyelids to a new morning and like every other morning, her gaze traveled out of the window to witness the sight she had fallen in love with since the arrival of summer. There, near her window stood the huge Gulmohar tree bathed in red, his favorite color, bright and glorious.
She smiled. She had noticed the change that she had once again like old times had started to associate his thoughts with the good things in her life, like just now.
And she knew it's about time for her to return.
Yes, she couldn't be sure that old place wouldn't bring the old memories back, memories, that had a tendency to cloud the mind with the bad ones more so than good ones. But she wanted to give a chance to them, for the sake of love that she still felt for the man, who was the reason behind her all sorrow yet the only one to bring a smile on her face in times like this when life looked vibrant again.
She lazily reached for her phone. Time to make an important call.
***
I look at the sky I see the stars,
And I recall what you said, that they are our guides.
I ask them, can I be forgiven?
But my sins are, well sins, and they stay mum.
I pass my lonely nights gazing the moon,
The light breeze and dancing water lulling me in sleep not so soon.
I look at the sun, bright and shining,
And I miss the smile on your face to start a new morning.
Yet when I see the new dawn is breaking,
I couldn't help but hope with the new sun rising
Payel entered his room with a cup of coffee and swept her eyes around just to make sure, knowing well where she would find him ultimately, she strode straight and pulled the sliding door aside to enter the pool area.
There he lay sprawled over the recliner in an uncomfortable position not so soundly asleep and opened his eyes as soon as the mug touched the small glass top before the recliner.
"Good Morning Payel" Arnav greeted her with a half smile Payel in return smiled her answer, not as bright as Khushi but soothing enough to make Arnav smile a little bright.
He sipped the coffee straitening his back and stood up as Payel without a word slowly collected his files and laptop to keep inside.
She had been doing this every morning since Khushi had left 1 year 3 months 3 days back. Well for the first 3 days she had tried to talk him into sleeping in the room after he finished his work by the poolside, but later she had understood that it wasn't the work but Khushi that kept him there all night.
Why and how he connected with Khushi in this spot so much she would never know but she respected his wish and unlike other members in the house she had stayed quiet only giving her silent support like checking him in the middle of night, covering him with a quilt if it was too cold, or sometimes serving him coffee if he stayed awake all night, dragging herself out of the sleep, earning a small thank you and looks filled with gratitude every time, in return.
For Payel, she believed that her sister had first time trusted her with a responsibility and she couldn't disappoint her with the slightest of mistake because all she knew that she was guarding her sister's treasure which she one day would come back to claim.
Yes, she was sure on that point, when Arnav didn't dare to share same confidence as her, leave same not even half of it. For him, he knew that he didn't deserve the second chance, if only his stupid heart would listen and stop hoping.
Payel slowly gathered everything. Though her hands worked slowly but her heart bubbling in joy making her want to scream and shout and tell everyone the secret she was holding. But she couldn't and she wouldn't because the secret herself was to arrive soon in Delhi to reveal herself and she didn't want spoil her surprise.
She dropped the files and laptop on the recliner and informing Arnav that the breakfast will be served in half an hour and quickly made her way out of his room scared that she might spill the bean unable to keep her calm anymore.
