Loved the movie. Hrithik looked a norm star. Amisha looked the part two (shame it didn't work out for her)

The songs were excellent!

If I have seen craze in my lifetime till now for any star it has to be Hrithik post KNPH. The movie is nothing to talk of. But music was successful. And Hrithik just became the new sensation! Every kid in school and neighbourhood was talking about him, dancing to his songs, trying to copy his dance steps. Adults also liked him for his looks and dance. Nobody could believe he was Rakesh Roshan's son!

I remember every single magazine, including even GK and current issues magazines and yearbooks had Hrithik on their cover. He was everywhere. Sony did a special concert only on him and Roshans. After Amitabh, Raj Kapoor, Madhuri, Govinda - it was Hrithik who got a televised concert in his name back then. Massive for a newcomer!

We weren't allowed to drink colas that much so we used to go to canteens and request owners for Coke crowns so that we could collect them and get Hrithik stuff. The Coke-Hrithik contest and merchandise got huge response. Honestly, after those tazos it was the Hrithik cards, posters and crowns that were exchanged like hot property among kids and teens!

Hrithik was complete package. Looks, aura, charisma, dance, acting talent..he had it all.

Many people did not like Hrithik cast as a terrorist in Fiza and Mission Kashmir. There were violent protests by fans at some theatres against Fiza. Such was the attachment created for Hrithik with KNPH.

All stage shows, award shows, Diwali, Independence Day and New Year specials had only Hrithik's dance performances as main attraction. It was a given that he would win all awards next year.

He was rightly considered next superstar because it was dawn of new millennium and SRK, Aamir had just delivered flops like Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Mela. KNPH released and became a surprise mega success.

Amisha got less limelight IMO. Not comparable to Hrithik mania. She gained more from Gadar than this one.

Even Hrithik's marriage got covered by not only film magazines but even those GK magazines like Chronicle!

KNPH has to be one of the most historic debuts ever.

My fav film of all times. I still remember the Hrithik mania. This is the only movie i watched thrice in the theatre. I loved HR-Ameesha so much that i even wanted them to get married 😆

Though I liked 2 of the songs, think the film itself was way overrated, I can't believe the craze he got.

Never heard of him b4 his KNPH! I was single and had many frnds and girls who watched it went just gaga over it.. not the movie but Hrithik. But due to lack of any buzz the movie only lasted a week or 2 in theatre in Auckland. It then became phenomenon in India and then I realized the 2nd half was shot in NZ! Anyways, NZ herald, the National Daily put on articleon this movie and how Bollywood is a big factor for NZ tourism.. damn, the movie was screened again here.
