AVTA awards nominees out

Asian Viewers' Television Awards (AVTA)

The final nominations for Asian Viewers' Television Awards 2014 have been announced.

The event, which is first of a kind for UK viewers, will see talent on UK Asian television being recognised.

Over the past few weeks, organisers of the event had invited viewers to put forward their favourite talent from shows and channels. From the preliminary list, which was unveiled a couple of weeks ago, three of the top nominees in each category have been finalised. Viewers will now need to vote for their favourite from each category ahead of the main event on Saturday 18th October at a prestigious hotel in London.

AVTA is the brainchild of Rajan Singh, formerly of Star TV and now heading Digi Media Global. AVTA 2014 will take place on Saturday 18th October 2014 at a prestigious London hotel.
