Story of Babar and Humayun: It is believed that Humayun, son of king Babar fell very ill and was reported to be in a dangerous condition. All the skill of the royal physicians was used unsparingly to cure the royal patient, but no improvement was visible.
It was suggested that something of great value must be given away in charity (as a sacrifice). Many suggestions were made, including giving away diamond. It is said that, Babur lost all hope and with great sadness he knelt down and prayed. "God, please save my son. I offer you my life instead."It is believed that Babar's offer of life was accepted and Humayun got better, his father, Emperor Babar fell down and died. Nothing can be more touching that a father sacrificed his life so that his son could live.
Wondering why I have quoted this story. This story is so similar to story of our Saras, who since the first time he gave to Ratannagari has given nothing but gift of Love to his love, Kumud. He came to her house, so that he could tell her parents, so that she would NOT have to face her parents for his rejection. But ever since he came, he just became hers. They have seen so much together. They have so much love and affection for each other. He was with her, even when she was at Pramad's house. Stood like her Daal between her and all her difficulties. He is like a Chattan (impenetrable wall). No problem can touch Kumud till he is around. He loves her so much that she became the reason for his existence. At every step, he has showered her with his immense love.. During their wedding, he whole heartedly gave away the moti (precious pearl) , even for their marriage anniversary, he made the gift with his own hands for her. He literally lives and breathes for her.
Even now he has been sensing the storm of difficulty that is coming in direction of Kumud. He is restless, he wants to protect her at all costs. Does not want her out of his sight even for a minute. The way he held her hands closely and tightly when getting her out of auto rickshaw was so endearing. Kumud is oblivious to this impending danger and also the inner battle that Saras is fighting. It looks like in the end, Saras would be giving away his life to protect her life. He would sacrifice so that his Kumud could live. He will make the ultimate sacrifice and gift his life to HIS life so that his LIFE, that is Kumud can live on...But question is, will she able to ???
