Scene 1
In the bureau, Daya sir demands to know why Abhijeet sir did not hand over his letter. The latter says he cannot reveal the reason at present. This leads to a hurtful verbal exchange. Purvi mam is seen quietly overhearing it with much sadness and concern for her seniors. Eventually Abhijeet sir receives a call saying someone is in danger.
Scene 2
Abhijeet sir, Sachin sir and others arrive at the house of the guy Rahul who had apparently called saying his wife Namrata is in danger. A lady emerges saying that's not true. Abhijeet sir demands why he's wasting their time then. Rahul says he's telling the truth.
(Flashback)
A few hours back, an unknown man barges into Rahul's house saying he's their new cook appointed by Namrata. Rahul is suspicious and tells him to prepare tea until Namrata arrives. As the man moves off, a hidden knife slips out of his pocket. The guy unconvincingly claims he uses it to cut meat and vegetables. After a while, the "cook" brings coffee for Rahul as he returns from a shower and irritates him. The bell rings and the lady we saw previously enters behaving as though she's Namrata despite Rahul's shock and anger. She even possesses Namrata's phone. The "cook" also insists she's Namrata, and both of them move off leaving behind a bewildered Rahul, who decides to call the CID.

Back in the present, the lady claiming to be Namrata insists Rahul is mentally disturbed and needs a doctor. Abhijeet sir decides to check the matter thoroughly and asks Rahul for proof that this lady is not his wife. Rahul tries to show them Namrata's pics on his phone only to find them gone. He says the cook guy must've deleted them when he was in the shower. Abhijeet sir asks for his wedding photos. Rahul provides the album and it's seen that in those photos the lady seen is none other than the one with them. Abhijeet sir asks "Namrata" if she has any proof of her identity. She shows him her passport and PAN card. Her birthday is the same as Rahul's wife and she remembers their wedding date as well. Rahul says Namrata used to hide his chocolate as he's diabetic - she brings it as well.
Rahul insists it's a conspiracy and she's come prepared. Abhijeet sir trusts him tentatively and asks the team to search the house. Abhijeet sir asks Rahul and "Namrata" to call their parents - both of them say their parents have passed away. "Namrata" says they've only shifted to Mumbai from Bangalore a few days back and know nobody there. Sachin sir finds an odd dustbin in the backyard and they find the corpse of a man inside it. Rahul and "Namrata" insist they don't know anything. Sachin sir notes the victim was shot and also bears fresh scratch marks on his neck. He finds a DL reading the man was one Pulkit Robin. Pankaj recognizes him as a famous writer of some soap serial. Abhijeet sir says all the residents of the house will be in custody until the case is solved. He instructs Sachin sir to seal the place and obtain Pulkit Robin's address.
Scene 3
Sachin sir, Dushyant and others meet Pulkit's assistant telling her that his wife informed he had left the previous evening to meet her (the assistant). The assistant says they were supposed to meet at a particular coffee shop - which is quite far from the place they found his corpse. The cops suspect her of murdering him out of jealousy, but she says she merely waited for him until 11:00 PM before returning, as his phone was unreachable. Dushyant orders her to come with them.
Scene 3
We see Pulkit's assistant, wife Sanjana and "Namrata" in the forensic lab with our team. Dr. Salunkhe says that the scratches on Pulkit's neck contained traces of nail polish, implying the killer was a lady. They take blood samples of all three women. Rahul and "Namrata" get into an argument again and Dushyant asks the former to provide a sketch of his alleged real wife, if not photo.
Scene 4
Rahul is seen getting his real wife sketched in the bureau. Meanwhile the team finds out the cook guy has no criminal records. Dushyant warns him not to leave the city and allows him to go. The sketch is completed and "Namrata" starts crying and melodrama. Pankaj arrives with Pulkit's phone records saying that after his talk with his assistant Jennifer, he received a landline call at 6:00 from one Bhavesh Imports & Exports company. "Namrata" says this is the company Rahul works in. Rahul insists he doesn't know Pulkit at all, and he had probably left office by then. Dushyant decides to enquire at his office and find out if the girl he sketched exists at all.
Scene 5
At Rahul's office, none of the staff members or Rahul's boss recognize Pulkit. One of the employees Harish remembers that on the day Pulkit was called, Rahul was in the office until 5:30, ruling out the possibility of him calling Pulkit. Rahul explains the issue about Namrata and says Harish knows the real Namrata as he had met her when he had come home to give him some papers. Harish recognizes the lady with them as the Namrata he had met. Rahul accuses him of being involved in the conspiracy as well. "Namrata" reveals Rahul had been suffering from some mental illness that was supposedly cured in Bangalore, and says he probably killed Pulkit. Dushyant decides to interrogate Rahul's neighbours for any witnesses of Pulkit's murder.
Scene 6
The team arrives at the last of neighbour houses and find the door opened, and the house vacant with a camera facing the curtains. Shreya finds another camera, two computer screens and headphones in a room. They check the computers to find a video recording of the "cook" and "Namrata" entering Rahul's house for the first time and the ensuing drama, Abhijeet sir's interrogation as well. Sachin sir construes someone was snooping on Rahul from here. They wonder how the guy got such a clear audio recording from this distance. Dushyant leaves abruptly. They search the place and Sachin sir finds that the house belongs to one Girdhari. Dushyant finds a microphone hidden in Rahul's music system. A guy Jatin arrives, saying he lives there on rent and before leaving for Goa he had given the place in rent on turn to one Sunder. He says Girdhari lives in London and rarely visits. He insists he knows nothing about all the surveillance equipment, and probably Sunder is responsible. He says his mobile is stolen and thus Sunder's number is gone as well. Dushyant asks for his phone number so they can get Sunder's number from his records.
Scene 7
At the bureau, we're told that the killer's DNA from Pulkit's neck wounds matches neither Jennifer, Sanjana nor "Namrata"'s DNA. Purvi mam suggests it could be the DNA of that lady Rahul sketched. Freddy sir arrives saying they didn't find Sunder's number in Jatin's phone log, but that of one Manish who apparently gives out cameras and editing equipment on rent. They decide to find him.
Scene 8
The team arrives at Manish's shop with Jatin, who recognizes him as Sunder. Manish tries to flee, but is captured and slapped hard by Dushyant. He confesses one of his customers had bribed him to rent Girdhari's house, fit the camera and spy on Rahul. Kavin demands who this man is.
Scene 9
The team visits the man Bhavesh's house. His wife says Bhavesh has been missing since the previous day and she had filed a police report. Sachin sir sees a photo there - that of Rahul's boss, who his wife says is Bhavesh. His number turns out to be switched off. Dushyant asks Pankaj to trace his phone location.
Scene 10
We see Bhavesh and the real Namrata held hostage in a warehouse surrounded by a number of armed thugs. Their female boss demands Bhavesh where a certain CD is, which he refuses to divulge. Before she can shoot, the team arrives and disarms then. Dushyant recognizes her as a wanted criminal named Munni. A battle breaks out and eventually the goons are all defeated. Munni confesses Bhavesh had told her to abduct Namrata. Bhavesh explains that he had first come to Mumbai intending to be a script writer. He had plenty of talent and had prepared a sureshot successful story, but his then roommate stole his story and won all the fame for himself, forcing him to start the Import & Export Company. However, he retained his passion for writing and developed a reality show concept about one of a couple being replaced by an impostor.
Since nobody was willing to help him test his idea, he chose his employee Rahul as the subject of his experiment. He decided to temporarily kidnap Namrata and send the fake lady and cook to act their part in Rahul's house. He reveals Pulkit Robin was his ex-roommate who had stolen his ideas, and now had found out about this new idea and started snooping around. He witnessed Namrata's kidnapping by Munni's gang and was shot trying to save her. Her men hid the body in Rahul's house. After the CID enquiry at his office, he panicked and visited Munni to scold her for killing Pulkit and threatens to hand over the CD containing her recording to the CID if caught, provoking her to attack him. Bhavesh says Harish now possesses the CD, and he was the one who took the music speaker with microphone to Harish's house. He begs for pardon. Kavin and Dushyant say Munni will be executed while Bhavesh will be tried in court.
Scene 11
Rahul and Namrata reunite in the bureau. The fake Namrata apologizes and says she had no idea her acting assignment would end in such disaster. Dushyant says she should've confessed everything after Pulkit's body was discovered. The lady says she had been instructed to keep acting no matter what, and she thought the body and CID enquiry were fake as well. Rahul requests them to pardon her. Sachin sir says the court will decide her penalty, and allows the couple to leave.
Scene 12
Abhijeet sir is seen at his home looking at the recent duo selfie we've all admired. Tarika visits him and he says that when ACP sir returns he'll ask him for a transfer, as he cannot bear the pain of their rift anymore. 😭 😭 😭
