TEASER

Geet ran into the boat going to Elephanta Caves dragging Maan with her.

"Jaldi kya hai Geet", he was curious.

"I want to stand at the bow (front)", she replied as they made their way to the front.

"Oh, so you Rose and me Jack a la Titanic?", he asked raising his eyebrows. She shook her head wondering from where to where his brain travelled in a second.

"Par Geet Jack ka toh kaam tamaam ho gaya tha. This is not so good news for me. Abhi toh meri shaadi bhi nahi hui. Abhi abhi girlfriend bani hai, Titanic is no good for me", he joked.

"Main aap ki girlfriend nahi hu", she replied to which he dramatically held his heart as if it was breaking.

Slowly as if in a whisper she said, "This is one of the few memories I have of my Dad. He held me in his arms here and pointed to the caves".

The poignancy of her tone and the sharing of the cherished memory of hers meant more than any of her rejections.

At night he had raved at himself when he had blurted out "I want you". She was only 18 where as he was 22. Later in life the age gap would not be so big but right now it was. His wants from her were very different from what she was ready for. Besides that he needed to get his footing in life. He still needed to establish himself and make a successful career.

All the reasons were stark in his mind but it was this fragility in her that made her irresistible to him. He wanted to protect her, be there for her always. It took a moment of indecision between his mind and his heart but slowly his hand came over her shoulder to tilt her towards him.

She knew he was a flirt and she had only known him but a day and a half. There was something that still bound them to each other. They were kindred souls, both having lost so much in life. Even as she said her memory of her father, it pinched her that he had no such memories or moments in his life. His pain connected with hers and she tilted her head to rest on his shoulders.

A/N: A trip to Elephanta Caves and their evening of day two continues.. Please post some encouraging things yaar. Am trying to keep my mood up but the declining likes and comments are getting to me. Mood hi nahi ban raha hai to write.

Avi 🤗...thank u for the teaser...waiting for the rest of the Mumbai trip...so Maaneet are on the way to Elephanta caves...Majnu Maan is still in flirty mood..aww Geet sad remembering her father ...glad she had Maan to lean on...do let me know if u need any pics 😊
