Jiah Khan almost bagged Boney Kapoor's remake of Pokiri, along with a role opposite Salman Khan, until she blew it up with one wrong comment. Rubbing Salman up the wrong way comes with a price. Jiah knows that very well now.

The film is produced by Boney Kapoor and will be directed by Prabhu Deva. Says a source close to the production team, "We had almost signed Jiah for the role opposite Salman. But her recent statement in a newspaper really irritated Salman. Boney also was unhappy with the comment she made about Salman and his girlfriend, Katrina, in the interview."

So, what was the offending remark? Jiah Khan was questioned by a newspaper about being recommended by Salman Khan for Boney Kapoor's film, to which she replied, (sic) "That'll be really cool if it were to happen but his girlfriend would be really pissed off. I don't know Salman at all." This obviously did not go down well with both Salman and Boney, and they decided they didn't want her in the film after all.

Reportedly, Asin, the South actress was considered for this role earlier, when Salman suggested Jiah's name to Boney. Boney took up the suggestion and discussed the role with Jiah. "Jiah not being in the film, came as a surprise because Boney Kapoor had gone to the extent of discussing the script, her look and ever her costumes in the film. After all the preparations and discussions, the statement in the press changed it all for Jiah. Boney and Salman, both miffed, decided to chuck the idea of casting Jiah and have decided to sign Ayesha Takia instead, for their project," adds the source.

When contacted Suresh Kurpad, CEO of Boney Kapoor's production company, said, "Yes, were in talks with Jiah for the project but now we are in talks with Ayesha as well. However, I cannot divulge anything further until we sign Ayesha."

whatdid she thin of herselg kat is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than her & she doesn't want recomendations she made herself a poplular actress by doing good roles not by skin show like jian she's so mean ( no offence)

Err how was that comment offensive, i think Sallu and Boney are overreacting. Everyone speculates about Sallu hepling Katz career, she just had the guts to be frank about it.
