Jeevika's POV
I Waited There Patiently On The Table Reserved For Five Of Us. I And Jay Were Already Here For Dinner Probably Waiting For The Other Three To Arrive.
I Just Randomly Swiped The Images In My Gallery As A Result Of Boredom As Jay Had Left Me Alone To Receive His Call.
My Eyes Froze As At That Point My Thumb Moved Over My iPhone Screen. The Picture Was From Last Months Dinner Where I And The Other Three In The Picture Seemed Extremely Happy!
That Night Virat Had Confessed His Love For Maanvi. And So Had Maanvi. Just As I Sat There Lost In My Own Little World, I Sensed Someone Smiling At Me. Placing The Phone Down I Smiled Back At The Person Sitting Across Me.
J - "Good Evening VirenJi!" I Cordially Wished Him.
V - "Evening Jeevika!" He Replied. "Where's Jay?" He Looked Around The Place. "And Were You Smiling For The Same Reason Miss Malhotra!?"
Just As He Asked His Last Bit My Head Shot Up. My Lips Tweaked Up. I Blushed A Bit. He Just Read My Mind! I Nodded Negatively. Trying To Lie. But I Could See Him Trying To Suppress His Little Laugh But Gave In.
V - "You Really Are Sweet And Innocent!" He Admitted And Chuckled.
J - "And A Hitler Too!" Jay Said Interrupting In Between. And He Whispered Something In VirenJi's Ears. The Two Chuckled.
V - "Thinking Of Too Far Jay! Let's Just Leave In Present Currently!" He Smirked But Very Soon Gave A Pale Look At Me Than Averted His Gaze.
I Never Understood What He Meant By That. I Shove My Thoughts Changing The Topic.
J - "Where Are The Love Birds!?" I Inquired.
M - "Here Di!!" Maanvi Screamed From A Few Steps Away.
The Two Of Us Stood Up And Greeted The Couple. Yes That Day Virat Had Proposed Maanvi For Marriage And She Had Agreed. The Marriage Functions Were To Begin The Coming Monday i.e Two Days After. We Were All Present Here In Mussoorie. We Four Soon Settled Down. Enjoying The Dinner, Chatting A Bit, Going Through Some Of The Wedding Plans, And The Two Brother's Sharing Their Bit Of Childhood. We Soon Were Dropped Out Of The Vadhera House By The Driver.
After Changing For The Bed, I Had Preferred To Have Walk In The Elegant And Lavish Lawn. Before Sneaking Out I Had Informed One Of The Staff That I Was Out So Not o Lock The Door Up. In Return I Had Got A Chuckle And A Reassuring Smile From The Butler.
Just I Walked Out I Had Suspected Someone Standing At The Far End Of The Lawn. Leaning On The Chest Heightened Black Colored Railings. I Consciously Edged Towards The Person Only To Find Him Staring Far Into The Rest Of The Town That Was Visible From Here. Vadhera House Being Located On Top Of The Hill, The View All Around Was No Doubt Breathtaking At Day Time. But So It Was At The Night Too!
I Cleared My Throat Snapping Him Out Of His Chain Of Thoughts. He Smiled. Lent His Hand Out In Order To Make Me Stand Right Next To Him. And There We Stood Silent For Few Moments. Letting MY Thoughts Erupt. Suddenly I Spoke Up Breaking The Silence.
"Well I Didn't Knew We Two Had Some What Same Liking!" I Cursed My Self For Blurting It. As I Heard Him Chuckle.
"You've No Idea! I've Observed A Little Too Much Than You!" He Said With A Grin Which Then Turned Into A Beautiful Smile As He Got Back To Staring At The Town.
"Well, Uhhmmm, May Be...I Don't Know..." I Tried Framing A Reply, But In Vain.
"So, Weren't You Sleepy After A Tiring Today?" He Inquired Not Looking At Me.
"When A Person Is Happy And Content, Only Then Can He Fall Asleep Is What I Believe." I Said Without Giving It A Thought.
He Quickly Took A Look At Me, And Asked A Little Bit Unsure, "So You're Not Happy...??" That Caught Me A Little Off Guard.
I Nodded. "That's Not What I Was Trying To State. What I Actually meant Was..." Taking A Pause I Glanced At Him Who Still Stared At Me Waiting For The Answer. Looking Away I Continued, "Not That I'm Not Happy. I'm! I Definitely Am. Maanvi Getting Married Is Really A Great Thing. I've Known Her Just For A Year Maybe, But She's No Less Than My Sister. And I'm Happy For Her..." I Took A Pause Again.
"Than Why Did You Say It...?" He Asked Me.
"Because Maybe I'm Happy, But I Know I'm Definitely Not Content." I Sighed.
"And Why Is That..?" He Inquired Again. I Just Shook My Head Negatively Impressing And I Didn't Wished To Talk About It Anymore. He Averted His Face From My Direction Back To Where It Earlier Was.
"Well Why Are You Up Though?" I Tried Asking Him The Similar Question He Had Asked Me.
"Well, In My Case I've Absolutely No Idea! I Just Didn't Feel Like Sleeping So Thought For A Walk. But Than Ended Up Staring Specifically At Nothing..." He Said.
I Nodded. "Well, It's Almost ! In The Morning, And We have To Head For Shopping Today Morning; So I Suggest We Should Go Get Some Sleep. The Weeding Week Begins Today." After I Finished, I Glanced At Him. He Simply Nodded. And Gestured Me To Move Ahead, While He Followed Me. Dropping Me By My Room, After We Wished Each Other A Good Night, He Left For His Room.
