I know its upsetting for Jens fans when we talk of the frequent use of BD. Maybe its natural and maybe its not really Jen's fault as she had it written in contract what she would or wouldnt do.
We as viewers would be upset about anything that interferes with our viewing experience. And this does. It takes away from the continuity and the flow.
Is it Jen's fault for laying such conditions? Is it the writers and directors who knowing that the heroine is going to be missing every two day in a week, have not been able to plan and direct the epis better?
Is it the channel's fault for accepting such a lead knowing that the show will run 6 days a week?
I as a viewer neither know nor care. All i know is that it has bothered me, and it has messed up scenes which otherwise would have been beautiful.
Its not our job as customers to be understanding, its our job to demand the best, and settle for nothing less, and that's where the problem lies, Jen's scenes have suffered by her frequent absenteeism and maybe the CV unit and Jen need to collectively look at this, because a large viewer base is unhappy.
So does the answer lie in better writing and direction or lesser leaves, its not for me to define or dictate. All i demand is the experience must be enthralling and exciting, the male lead has been able to provide that 95% of the time, and the female lead around 50% of the time.
so i complain. Not to insult her or her work, but to highlight my grouse with the frequent use of a BD.
