Glimpses into the heart of Mr. Raman Kumar Bhalla ...

" I love you Ishita" ... he whispered on a stormy night amidst a downpour of rain ... it was a day passion was given a free reign ... or was passion contained in that tight HUG

"Balajiju ... u are the world's best husband" ... she spoke those words out casually ... highlighting the qualities of her perfect man .. unbeknownst to her that her perfect man was taking note ... with a solemn promise in his heart to DELIVER

" Sirf amma bolta hi nahi ...maanta bhi hoon" he spoke those words on a cold tile floor in a sterile hospital ... but the warmth & depth of sincerity that those words echoed warmed the deepest cockles of her heart

"Nahi choddonga ... Patni ho tum meri" .. .he shouted those words out to her ... amidst a downpour of rain ... once again passions were brought to the fore ... poked by a simple word of abandonment ... far from abandoning he wanted to hold her CLOSE

" we are happily married .. humare DO bacche hai" ... the heart spoke what the heart felt ... he was happy he was content ... his kids had got the RIGHT mother ... his heart had found its answering heartbeat ... his soul had found its MATE

" Tum khush ho iss shaadi se ... itne compromises ..." a heartfelt apology for all that he had put her through ... a realisation that a mere picnic was not enough to bring happiness ... a realisation that if he was happy ...she would be too ... a tentative question CAN WE EVER BE ONE ??????

I have often enuf waxed lyrical about the writers of this show ... but yesterdays episode far outshone anything in romance that they have ever shown in this show ... the maturity the sincerity the understanding were simply mind blowing ... I was always a bit apprehensive that will they take the most often shown route to depict romance in this couple ... the rain Hug threw me .. i felt that the makers will succumb to the tried & tested at that moment ... BUT BUT BUT .. i am so Happy that they upheld the faith ...

LOVE .. what is love for a mature couple ... Love is FAITH ... LOVE is a strong belief come what may my partner will stand beside me ... Love is a gentle breeze ... Love is UNDERSTANDING ... Love is a SHARED LAUGHTER .. LOVE IS A SHARED MOMENT ... LOVE is the HAPPINESS in ONES PROGENY ... LOVE IS LIVING A LIFE TOGETHER ...

The makers from the very beginning showed us a glimpse into the heart of Mr. Raman Kumar Bhalla ... a man with very deep seated emotions ... if u go back to the initial episodes of YHM ... u get to see a real glimpse of Raman ... its the episode he wins the Best CEO award .. as he walks up to take his award a Flash of his past is shown .. where he tells Ashok .. all he wants in life is a family ... his wife his kids ... he was happy & content at that moment ... That RAMAN was shredded to pieces at the hands of a ruthless woman ... a man lost his innocence ...

He regained his innocence after a carrom match when the woman he had never acknowledged as his SOUL MATE ... walked up to him & with a piece of paper returned his innocence back to him ... RESTORED his SOUL ... After that stunning evening in their bedroom when his fiery wife made him look at the mirror of his soul ... the REAL RAMAN KUMAR BHALLA emerged .. the MAN CAPABLE OF LOVE ... the man HAPPY IN LOVE ... the man CONTENT with LOVE ...

Layer by layer at the hands of an innocent love of his daughter ... & the sometimes fierce sometimes gentle hands of his wife .. the scales dropped from the face of RAMAN KUMAR BHALLA ... & what emerged was the young & innocent HAPPY ... was it any wonder the first time he did a selfless act of giving ISHITA a day where what she wanted he would do ... HIS MOTHER GLIMPSED HER "HAPPY PUTTAR"

My first post on this forum was " Ho gayi Hai Mohabbatein" to me these 2 have been in love for a while ... the realisation of that love resides deep in their heart ... that love will only find its way to the surface to face the heat when their hearts are able to TRUST itself ... both the broken pieces will find a home when they make that STEP ...

Yesterdays episode ...

Have written about Raman & his feelings above ... know its premature .. but lets at least introduce Ishita's feelings here ... a broken woman ... a woman abandoned .. a woman scorned ... a woman wounded at the hands of love ... on a crowded road in a blistering traffic flow .. she regained a portion of her sanity ... she regained a portion of her soul .. when she found a small ABANDONED KID IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD ... SHE SAVED THAT KID ... but what she really did that night was SAVE HERSELF ... yes her mother read the horoscope right that day .. she was to meet her SOUL MATE ... but what was RUHI if not a part of her SOUL MATE .. the means of REUNITING HER SOUL ...

As she spoke about her first love yesterday ... the man who sat hearing her only heard the WORDS SUBBU ... had he really listened to her he would realise that what she spoke was about the MAN WHO MADE HER WHOLE .. the MAN WHO WOULD NOT ABANDON HER ... the MAN WHO WAS HER SOULMATE ... the man RAMAN KUMAR BHALLA ... her husband ...

Had Raman actually listened to her .. he would have heard that she said ... Ruhi opened her heart to love ... whoa whoa whoa RAMAN KUMAR BHALLA ... that was you first I LOVE YOU from ur wife ... a i love u he did not understand ... Is it any wonder after they sat down to discuss "happiness" after a long convoluted journey talk .. when she whispered " MEIN KHUSH HOON" ... he gave his twisted smile hiding that huge sigh of relief ... & simply said ... All u had to say was that ... a beautiful cute exclusion of the word "LECTURE" ... Ishita that was by the way a message from ur husband ... a simple I love u will suffice ... no need for explanations on why u love him 😉

Ok oK .. lets explain ... Ishita says that Ruhi opened her heart to love ... now lets back pedal a bit prior to this Ishita was talking about Love with Subbu .. the man & woman kinda love .. a love which was innocent ... a love which was long standing .. that love was ripped to shreds by the hand of a callous unprincipled spineless man ... what she got from her first love was UNACCEPTANCE .. that love came with the price of PERFECTION .. Then came RUHI in her life & she was reintroduced to LOVE WHICH HAD NO CONDITIONS ... a love which demanded only LOVE in RETURN ... IT opened her HEART TO LOVE ...

This is the reason why ISHITA RAMAN KUMAR BHALLA was able to LOVE A MAN who had some many FAULTS ... a man who had so many issues ... a man who fairly reeked of prejudices ... AN IMPERFECT MAN ... But to her he was the PERFECT HUSBAND ... a man she loved UNCONDITIONALLY ... it was that unconditional love that makes her send her husband with his ex wife ... its this unconditional love which flowers even under the belief that her husband loves his first love ... its this unconditional love which does not expect love in return ... ITS THE PERFECTLY INNOCENT LOVE ... of a PERFECTLY INNOCENT YOUNG WOMAN ...

I can go on & on ... but lets leave that for as the love story progresses ... i have often enuf written we are poised for the best ever track of YHM ... lets sit back & let the writers do their job ... i think this bunch can really not go wrong ...

Waa what post I really loved it. You are really absolutely correct. The scene when Ishita met Ruhi for the first time that Ishita;s mom said in horoscope of hers it says she will meet her soulmate today. She met Ruhi and then Raman, Ishita is pure in heart. she act at an instance and then regrets. she is innocent. The one thing I love and admire her is she admits her mistake and says sorry no matter who it is . that is big thing. Everyone cann;t do that. I want her life to be filled with happiness from nowonways Raman has to take good care of her. Until now he has manhandled her many times. that is why heis Raman Bhalla right. Let us c how the cv;s progress their love story.

Wow humbled ... i have followed shows in the past ...the last show i followed i was in awe of the male protagonist characterisation ... but to be honest this SHOW leaves me speechless .. its the first time only the content resonates in my mind ... kudos to the actors who have become their roles .. they essay their characters with such elan that to me they are Raman & Ishita .. thats how natural their performance comes out on screen ...

The writers are indeed the best that have come on Indian telly in the recent past .. they remind u of the old days when TV shows had a story & a tale to tell ...

It becomes so easy to write for a show like this ... 😉

Yea Ishita has been shown as Pure & Innocent .. uncorrupted .. but the beauty of her character is that despite all the wrongs that life has delivered to her .. she is Innocent .. she is Pure ... she is not bitter ... i have loved the contrast between her & raman ... both ditched by love ... but both came out differently .. while Ishita retained her innocence Raman lost his ...

If It was Raman who could make Ishita a mother .. or rather complete her .. It was Ishita who could hand over Raman his innocence ... It was Ishita who could rip off the scales & bring out the real Raman Kumar Bhalla ...

& the whole beauty of this show is the character of Ruhi .. she made one parent a mother ... & she gave one parent his innocence ... actually if u think of it .. it was RUHI who gave BIRTH TO HER PARENTS ...

In Mumbai .. there is a suburb called Bandra .. there is a very famous sculpture there ... of a mother & child .. the caption reads " A child gives birth to a mother" ... i have often thot that the writers drew inspiration of Ruhi's character from there ... simply stunningly brilliant ...
