If rumor mills are to be believed about RR probably getting the 11pm slot then what we are witnessing is the ruthless execution of what was once touted as an eternal couple with a divine connection that went up to the Gods to make way for a rather flippant regular run of the mill saas bahu to take on YHM ( thanks Rahul for that comment on my post it gave me an answer and clarity on why RR has been butchered beyond belief)
So now we will have an widower grieving for his dead wife and taking care of his son and voila along comes the bubbly chirpy probably ditzy NRI who will fall for his baby son and then him and feel sad and the story will be about her trying to bring in happiness and love all over again which gives me the heebeegeebees just thinking about that possibility I for one will never be able to watch such a farcical parody Better they rename the serial so for those of us who watched RR in its original essence can live in peace and the new one can garner its own fresh set of viewers
The rival show is not about man woman and child it is far more deep and layered Here you have just crucified one half of a heart and soul of the show and expect viewers to cheerfully root and accept the next avatar within a day or so all because it is being played by the same actor and then wait for them to go oh cor gosh OMG how sad sob sob painful and sweet a man struggling with a child and decide let us throw in a girl a modern one at that the endless possibilities of an NRI finding her way through all things desi ( am face palming having experienced the desi take on NRI's personally) who will go all gooey eyed over the son and we start a new love story based on that idea and hell it will be similar to the other show and people will tune in
I am sorry I wont Fool me once shame on them fool me twice shame on me for I see no other possibility as to why Paro had to die if RR was to wind up as per the original contract of 200 episodes Now what we may be witnessing is a travesty of what once was RR

An aside Whilst watching tonight's episode nothing moved me AS I felt was off and at times cut and paste Many of the scenes contrived to pull our hearts found the terrorising scenes at times amateurish by the antagonist the only time I felt slightest bit of emotion was when Paro placed her head on his shoulder and when she placed rudraksh on her son ok loved sumer shatabdi dirty talk real fun otherwise I found the whole episode rather rushed and shoddy They ran the cycle of 2 pregnancies within minutes Rudra's emotional connection has been seriously lacking in the episode his actions in the hospital quite out of place first he said he was leaving then he was shown loitering and how the hell did Shantanu get out They have now made the BSD a laughing stock laila and now Shantanu
Anyway I wish them luck forget the PH I think of the innumerable working members of the set whose livelihood depends on the serial and hope for their sake this butchery has been worth it
