It may not be always correct to instigate the child against an elder in family.

Amol asked twice to A that ' woh pehle mere saath acche se baat karti thi, ab nahi karti... aisa kyun?' Anandi simply said she is disturbed in life and hence we need to understand her.

I do not find anything wrong in it. They are treating DB like any other family member, trying to understand her POV.

So next time Amol didn't bother to report when she spoiled the ice-cream, but he too made a new one just as his mother cooked all new food. The mother taught him to tolerate.

This is just a way of moving on.. I would have called it tolerating had Amol spoiled his mood because of spoiled icecream and kept crying without his parents knowledge. But he found a way and ultimately succeeded in his mission.
