Mouni Roy, single: All relationships get affected by work
Doing daily soaps, our schedules become hectic. We have to reach the sets on time and we end up working all the time so in that respect it is hard. Another thing is that I wouldn't like to hear or read rubbish but I think it's a part of our job. People write because they want something to write about. Readers also need something interesting so it's okay but it should not go beyond a limit.
Time with loved ones is important but work is also important at the end of the day isn't it? There's always some compromise. I guess all relationships get affected by this be it friends, family or boyfriends.
Reshmi Ghosh, with her boyfriend Amit Gupta for 6 years: We make time for each other
Personally I don't find it too hard to be in a relationship and have a full career but I think that if you want to make it difficult for yourself then you can. My guy understands and he doesn't stop me from doing anything. Trust and understanding are very important in a relationship especially when you're in the industry and we have that. It gives us peace of mind. Amit and I make time for each other by meeting after my shoots. We avoid meeting on the sets because we both don't like it. We sometimes go home, to my brother's place or to a friends place. We go out, eat at restaurants or go shopping together so we manage to be with each other. Like every couple we do fight and the strain of the industry does get to me. When we fight I think that I just want to run away- I don't want to work, I don't want anyone around me and I don't want anything! But this only happens once in a while because Amit appreciates my work and he is supportive of me.
Achint Kaur, living with Mohan Kapoor for 7 years: I work fixed timings
That's metro life! I think dealing with relationships is hard when you live in a metro let alone in the acting industry. All these problems are a result of complete metro like whether you are in Mumbai or Chennai. At the end of the day it's all up to you whether you want to make your relationship work. I work from time to time and make sure I have fixed timings so I get to spend time with my family. I've never found it difficult to balance my professional and personal life.
