How do TRP's work? is it purely based on viewers from India only or...?

I'm fed up of all my favourite shows having low TRP's even though they're awesome and was wondering more about how the TRP works...

Ya Trps are based on viewers in india. They have a set number of meters that record the trp. So all the viewers aren't even recorded. It is a messed up and inefficient system. 😳

Well thats annoying because theres loads of people outside India who watch the show,

they deserve good TRP's, its the only show i have continued to watch from the start, ive lost interest in others that have such high 'TRP's'

I agree this system completely sucks

not all the places in india are covered under this trp system.. im from hyderabad according to my knowledge we are not into trp count...

so here the trp is nothing but a Big Villain...There goes another insensible formula they use. Better yet...they should base their trps...vide the forums...they'd be better informed for rating the serials...

Personally I think TRPs have ruined such good shows, pressure for the CVs to increase TRPs leads to things like this :(
