CHAPTER 14

GUYS,I KNOW I AM VERY LATEBUT MY NEW SCHOOL HAS CREATED ALL THE FUSS IN MY LIFE. I HAVE TESTS EACH DAY SO I HARDLY GET TIME APART FROM STUDIES BUT I KNOW I HAVE TO COMPLETE THIS SO I WILL TRY TO BE REGULAR AND UPDATE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK SINCE THE NUMBER OF TESTS WILL REDUCE NOW. I COULD JUST MANAGE THIS MUCH FOR NOW . IN THIS WEEKEND OR LATEST MONDAY I'LL GIVE ANOTHER UPDATE.

Nupur stood there on the window

next to the door just to see him leave.

A deep sigh was all that she could
utter when he left. She smiled to
herself remembering the meet and
headed towards her room.
At night, Mayank came back home
after a long day's work. The day wasnt
the usual 'MAYANK SHARMA DAY'. It had
lots of things to cheer about. He sat
on the dining table having his meal
alone,which was quite normal for
him. It was 1 am when he had reached
home so it was quite obvious that no
one would have been waiting for him.
Although Shilpa in the beginning of his
career used to be awake just for him
but he always insisted her to go off to
sleep. His insistence had made it a
habit for her to sleep. He never really
wanted to trouble her just for his sake
and never did he feel that he was
alone but today the air had
something strange in it. He wasn't the
usual Mayank Sharma. He felt the
need of the seat to be filled today. He
wanted to talk about his different
experience he wanted to narrate all
the happening of his day. He wanted
to pour his heart out. The ups and the
downs of the day. The evolution of the
'NEW MAYANK SHARMA' which he
himself had noticed and not just
others.

He wanted to talk about it. His

different colours of mood today. He

wanted to ask the reason for all of it .
He was himself unaware of the
reason. He couldn't help himself out.

Mayank stood up from the table

taking a deep sigh. He moved towards

his room silently in order not to
disturb others. He changed into his
casual house wear and stood beside the window.
He was feeling down but he dint know
why. All he could about was think about his
life and while thinking all he could do
was take deeper and deeper sighs.
He was lost while standing there
when the footsteps of someone
broke his trance. He heard the knob of
the door clicking he immediately
turned around to see who it was.

"Bhai ap soye nahi?"

Samrat said while entering.

"Main jaga hu ya soya tum kyu jag
rahe ho?"
Mayank said while knitting his brows.
"Bhai itne khoye huye kyu ho?"
Samrat said while sitting on the bed.
Mayank too joined him.
"Pata nahi Samrat. Kuch..kuch theek
nahi lag raha..pata nahi life kaha ja
rahi hai.."

"Bhai tum ye sab keh rahe

ho i dont believe it. Waise bhai pata

hai aisa kab hota hai?"

He said while

suppressing his smile and trying to

lighten his brother's mood.

"Kab?"

Mayank asked furiously.

"Jab..i mean jab.."
"Jan jab karna band karega to do
thapad lagaun."
"Bol raha hoon na patience rakho."
"Acha bol"
"Bhai jab..jab "
He said while pausing but continued
as soon as Mayank gave him an angry
look.
"Jab pyar hota hai."
Samrat said in a very fast and loud
tone.
Samrat closed his eyes after saying it
and was waiting for the reaction but
Mayank sat there quietly without any
reaction and giving his words a
thought. But soon he came back to his
senses and by then Samrat had
already opened his eyes slowly and
steadily.
"Bakwas mat kar. Mujhe kyu hone laga
p-p-p-yar wyar."
he said while fumbling.
"Kyu ki hogya hai bhai tumhari ankho
me dikh raha hai."
Samrat said seriously but knew the
consequences and immediately got
up.
"Tujhe bada ankho ke bare me gyan
hai."
"Haan bhai bohot ladkiyon ki ankhe
padhi hai maine..jinme mere liye sirf
mere liye pyar dikhta hai."
He said while leaning towards him
and winking at the end but
maintaining a sufficient distance so
that he can run when required.
"Kash ankho ki jagah kitabein padhi
hoti."
Mayank said while sighing to which
Samrat dint respond.
"Bhai pyar wali baat pe yakeen na ho
to net pe love test le lo."
Mayank glared at him. Seeing this
Samrat ran for his life.

Mayank sat there quietly pondering

about his last sentence. At the first

instance he thought to try the test
once but tried convincing himself. His
heart and mind were having a
conversation now.
His mind told him
"No Mayank you cant be that stupid.
Samrat ke baat me aa ke u cant do
such a silly thing."
But his heart opposed the thought
and said
"Why whats wrong in taking a test? Let
it be stupid but it can give you some
amount of surety."
But his mind argued
"What surety? He has all the surety in
life. And he has no time for a got
damn test and love."
The fight continued and at last
Mayank got irritated and got up and
took his laptop.
"This stupid test is the cause of my
irritation. I should simply take it and
be assured that I am not in love."
