She was shivering. She had pulled that piece of Saree which was hanging down her left shoulder over her right one now. I myself was not so comfortable with the wet blue shirt and cream coat over me. The artificial rain had soaked both of us making her look sinfully beautiful in the wet pink Saree which was sticking to her skin. She was giving me a hard time and now this media wants bytes. I didn't want her to join me. Not just because her eyes would distract me but also because of the media's attitude towards her. She does not have to give them any bytes if they did not know how to respect her! But the production unit would not hear that, would they? This is a very important scene for ZaYa and both of us had to be there! I so hate this. I can clearly see she is not comfortable with giving bytes, especially to those people who are hell bent on slinging mud at her. But she is a thorough professional and here she comes. Her eyes tell me she does not want to do this but she will. yes she will... I am with her.
She stood next to me but did not really see the camera and the reporter started with his questions which only I answered. But media is media you see! They targeted the question at her. I so wanted to punch his face at that moment. But its his job right? Just like ours. and she knows it too and answered the question with all fake enthusiasm and glee. I can't help but admire her at such times. I fell proud that I'm her cousin and her hero... emmm... I mean co-star. wow! finally some question I would like to answer... Her look. But unfortunately, I've got to maintain poise! Damn! I just wanted to complete that kiss! What the hell am i thinking?! Control idiot! No! Zain wanted to kiss Aliya... it was the character... I wonder how long would I lie to myself? Obviously till I accept it.. now answer the question. Yeah, the same lines to be repeated. She looks pretty in a Saree and carries it off well... I can't speak my heart out or tomorrow's headlines will read "Zain aur aliya bane real life jodi!" who wants all this publicity? No thank you. She would kill me for that!
Thank god the iv is done. I would not mind dancing to skip these 'byte sessions'.. seriously! she is shivering badly yaar! what if she catches cold? emmm... no one is close by nor is anyone looking at us. They are busy setting the camera and lighting. I put my hand around her but did not dare to see her face. I looked straight and said " Zain" *in a tone like 'its Zain and not me who is doing this' or 'I'm being Zain'* yeah... Like this age old trick is actually gonna work. but wait, my tricks always work! there is no expiry date.Yes, I'm right. she leans in saying "Aliya" . I smile and look at face to see her do the same. Laugh was uncontrollable now you see. we laughed but did not let go off each other. These 8 months have changed us so much. We are besties now. Each other's support system
