we have seen so many actors who are very talented ...and also many who are not that talented

but how do we jdge which actors we like or done like... does it depend on acting skill or teh looks?

come to think of it...even i sometimes look at a person on tv ..n 1stly think his goodlooking but where is teh acting skills

an example would be lakshya from kyuki ..he doesnt have much to express..and he is totally overrated...this subject was also in the kyuki forum..

so im thinking what quality makes us choose who is a better actor

If its Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt in question, who cares if they can act 😉 But if we are talking of Om Puri or Rahul Bose, lets hope they can act 😛

Its completely dependent upon the actor... Sometimes the magnetic pull of their eyes makes you want to forget acting skills or overlook acting skills, but if they are not eye candy material, then definitely consider their acting skills

simple rule. if she looks like she could be a heroine, then she should be judged for how she looks when she is running around trees and is generally decorating the landscape. that would be looks 😛 if she looks behenjish, well then she should be judged for her acting ability, especially in those "bhaiya ko rakhee pehnana" scenes 😛

all of which means we should start with the looks. then subsequently decide whether to continue judging on looks or give a make-over test for acting skills 😉

If they are in the profession of acting, they are supposed to act well hence that should be the top priority. Looks is just an added advantage thats all . Sadly in Bollywood , looks is the main criteria then comes acting infact last is acting and thats sad .

Hollywood, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt give more importance to acting than looking good. Morgan Freeman, Meryla streep, Kevin Spacey are not good looking as per b'wood standards but they are excellent actors and thats what made them the legends they are now.

Good acting on any day makes a film work , not good looks and it shouldnt but thats not the case now thats why I started another topic abt the state of current films.

anyway , an actor should be judged on acting alone and if he looks good in that character then sone pe suhaga but still acting is the first priority.
