Why don't Sona and Pari get big-banner, big-budget movies?

These two are among the best actresses in the younger lot. But they never seem to be considered for big-budget movies opposite A-listers. Sona, even after openly expressing her interest for Mohenjodaro, is over-looked for a new face. Pari doesn't seem to have any movies at all after DEI. Whatever happened to her "I left Pikuu for a bigger film"? Jackie, Alia, Shraddha seem to be grabbing all the new movies that are being announced.
Is it because they don't exactly have the perfect physical attributes that most Bollywood top heroines seem to have?

Because Sonakshi looks like an aunty and Parineeti isnt conventionally pretty. For big budget movies one needs to be glamourous.

Yeah.. that's my feeling too. The way Hrithik fans went into a tizzy on Twitter when rumors of Sona being in MJ surfaced made me think that even fans of big heroes do not want them opposite their favorite. And producers know this very well.

I think the biggest mistake of Parineeti's career was to reject Piku..Now that DP is part of it & it has a great ensemble cast, i have a feeling the film might do well..Either ways, it seems like a performance-oriented role & Pari shouldn't have let it go for some 'big budget film'..I don think the Ranbir-Pari film is happening either..I have a feeling Karan was keen on casting these two last year but now he'l most definitely go with Ranbir-Alia if the film ever gets made 😆 Pari is typecast & Sona is content playing flowerpot roles..I don think Shradha will last either tbh 😆

Their size is definitely not the matter. Connections and association matters. KJO lobbies for work for Alia, apart from offering her many films from his own production. These were the opportunities that made her recognise among audience.

Parineeti already worked in YRF and Dharma production. As for Sona who knows maybe in future she will be cast opposite Salman in a big banner film again.
