She seems to be the one cliche character of regular soaps. I don't really like her much till now.

Fretful worrying wife. Longs to see her son succeed like his father, but at the same time blinded to his many faults.

And hates his daughter from another woman to boot, (which is understandable)

Somewhere I feel they could have made this more interesting if she had been an understanding partner to Yudh (making it different from the expected norm) and been accepting of Taruni leading to Yudh feeling more guilty ---maybe!

Now her side of the tale appears to be the expected one...though one has to wait and watch how the actual truth of Gauri/Taruni emerges.

And regarding her dreams for her son, well she has been a party to his being what he is as was well said by Yudh himself that --- agar aap hume nahi batayengi toh kya hume pata nahi chalega...

Wish they had shown her too as a slightly different mother/wife...but no complaints as the rest of the characters are quite a treat to watch!
