Dealing with fans is a tough balancing job. They can take you up and pull you down. You need to find the balance where you respect them, yet maintain your distance for the sake of your own sanity. Because very few fans are logical in their approach, mostly emotions ride high.
Hence there is a need for the actor to draw a line. Remain approachable yet unapproachable. Sanaya does that very well.
Don't get involved in their twitter world, and respond. Let them say and do what they want. Even if they are bashing you, you remain silent, eventually it will settle down.
I remember you saying somewhere that you get easily affected by what others say, correct me if Iam wrong. This is a trait you will have to correct if you have to survive in the media. You got to be thick skinned yet sensitive.
Don't ever make the mistake of giving the rope of your happiness in someone's hand, especially your fans. It's like holding on to a tigers tail, if you let go it will kill you... They are very important no doubt, but boundaries have to be drawn and not allowed to be violated.
From all the forum messages Iam reading I think..
1) Know that you are an actor par excellence. And that should be the main reason why you have so many fans.
2) Give RR it's due importance, because that's the ethical thing to do. If it's not your fault that your screen space is poor. If it's the fault of the editors and makers, then just remain silent. It will sorted out eventually. Don't explain. It will sound like you are blaming others.
3) Don't say you are working hard to entertain others because at the end of it you are doing it for yourself because it's your profession and your job.
4) Don't get so affected by all this. It's constructive criticism. Take it that way. You motto should be, drop the regret and worry... pick the lesson and move on.
These days come in every actors life.
We all love you and your work. But right now we are irritated, as I said fan world is emotional world... learn to ride the tides without losing balance.
