Daddi takes sleeping girl from his lap and shifts her to bed..."Mannat is sleeping now you should take rest for a while.."Daddi insisted.."Hum nurse ko yaha bhej detay hai...at least you should have your dinner beta in proper way.."
" I am okey Daddi...mera kuch khaane ka mann nahi hai ..." He denied..
"Even if you don't want..you have too unwillingly.." Geet squeezed his hand.
"But Geet...?"
" At one side you say ..you really love your family...But I don"t think so beta.." Daddi's words confused Maan.." Not for yourself but for your family's sake...you have to stay in good health...fir he care karogay na family ki...khaali pate(empty stomach) dimaag bhi kaam nahi karta..." She brushed his hair lovingly.
" Daddi Maa...I don't want to...okey if you both insists..main thoda sa khaa leta hu...Today I had promised Geet to change myself ..." He pretended to smile..
" You promised me to change but It doesn't matter you change your identity...a little change of heart..keep this heart for your dear ones ...But I can't let businessman Maan Singh Khuraana lost...the attitude.. you have in your blood by birth...who takes all decisions from mind..." Sitting beside him Geet said..
" Geet more than me now a days you think more... has turned up to be a philosopher...U talk about attitude ..ya...that's in my blood which I passed to my daughter especially...Rehaan my boy he is very decent child..may be like Handas.." Looking at Mannat he said " but now a days I just think about her.."
" Maan I m mother..even then I m saying this that don know when Mannat gonna be alright...may be at this moment or may be months...We have to take care of her very carefully ..She is ill just physically not mentally.." Both Geet and Daddi were trying their best to bring Maan out of this Truman so that he could take thing ideologically...
" Maan k pass uske papa hai ..you need not to prove it...but this over possessiveness is not good for Mannat as well as for Rehaan..he also needs you ...your baby on the way for whom Geet also needs your love and support ..." Daddi tried to make him understand
"But Daddi I love Rehaan ..Geet...you as always ...there is no doubt about it .." Maan gave justification
" Your love for us..there is no doubt about it Beta...But the mentality that is blooming right now in you ..that needs to be be changed ..." Daddi corrected
" Mentality !! " Amazed he said...
" Yehi jo aap sochte ho..that you always hav to be with Mannat otherwise she ll think that her papa doesn't love her...That is wrong beta...Let the space to all other relations so that she can feel secure even if you are not around...okey..." Daddi cleared
Maan nodded giving silent permission. But some where his blank eyes were still too much worried at Mannat...Geet forcibly fed him..Maan Geet and kids were in sharing same room...So Rehaan's bed was next to Mannat and parents on double bed just at a distance from both kids.
For whole night whole family and even hospital staff appointed for the help looked after Mannat turn by turn and they had decided to adopt same routine..The session that Daddi and Geet had with Maan after that Maan might have stopped showing his possessiveness but his inner anxiety as strange pain in her eyes...spoke volumes. He had turned KM outhouse as his office and rest of time he spend with Mannat.//
After one month
Best treatment ...family's love now started to give results..Mannat was responding But bit by bit.Her leg ..her hand showed..marked recovery . As for saftey measures Maan Geet decided to keep Rehaan for more one month at home .But there should be no lose of his study at least...Kids school provided private tutor for Rehaan and he was doing well...
This incident who brought so many problems from Rehaan's cancer to Mannat's this condition..Same incident also united a lovely family forevere...Who were living a incomplete life from years...
Especially Geet who had became a depression patient after losing her son at birth...She also had great recovery.Even if Mannat was ill but she knew Maan was on her side so she was not alone and this feeling made her strong enough.Also for the sake of a baby on the way she had to be strong.
One day (Mannat's regular medical examination at hospital)
Doctor Khanna after examining Mannat .." Mr. Khuraana your daughter is a fighter...I am more than 100% sure she gonna be alright soon.."
" Dr. she is a winner always ..We know she will overcome all odds this time too .." Much happy about what Dr..said ...Geet replied him.
Now Mannat was in condition to go for a surgery so in next 15 days gonna be more critical because whole future of not just Mannat as well as family was dependent upon this
At home
Nandini and Dev even this incident brought them close too...With Handas's approval..Daddi Maa had excepted her as Khuraana daughter in law...But every one wanted to wait until surgery
Hours before Surgery
Doctor suggested to take Mannat abroad for surgery as to arrange things here for just one surgery gonna raise costs.But Maan denied it for the sake of Geet especially..Pregnant Geet was advised not to travel by air too...But she wanted to be by her little daughter's side during this.So Maan paid thrice the cost of usual surgery...
" Maan our daughter gonna be alright na..." Resting her head on Maan's shoulder Geet questioned...Her tears had damped whole side of Maan's shirt.
"She is alright Geet...nothing is wrong with her...if that surgery couldn't scare her...then Mannat ll overcome this too.." He hugged much scared mother and wiped her tears.
" Maan I don wanna met her..mujhe se nahi hoga...usko kiss karke uski Maa ki saari dua usko de dena...Mere bachche meri zindgi hai Maan...I can't bear them in pain.." She requested..
" I know ...but not exactly at the time of surgery ...you can meet her now...You should.. hum dono chalte hai...challo utho.." He got up and helped her too " like a good girl" he kissed her on forehead...
When they reached inside room..Mannat was sleeping and Nurse not let them come close to her.So they stayed back at door.
" Maan I wanted to touch her once...please.." Geet at last put her heart out until now who was trying to put a control over her emotions..
Maan requested Nurse even than she didn't permit them due to medical reason. Maan Geet's emotional out burst could directly effect Maanat's mental state.
" Geet listen what doctor said that is also right.Agar Mannat ki mental condition stable hogi fir he surgery ho sakti hai na...So we have to remain in patience.." Maan consoled her.
They reached outside ICU where whole family was waiting them..It was time now to take Mannat for surgery ...
