CHAPTER-11.

Let me get swept by the storm-

Take me where no one has been to..

Let me make the Mirage a reality-

Let me surrender to you..

Baldev stared into her beautiful kohl rimmed dark brown eyes and felt his heart rate escalate at a first pace.

In her eyes he could see the determination he had seen so many times earlier,whenever she was ready to win no matter what..

His heart twisted painfully,as he reaslied this time the winning prize was him..She wanted to win him..!He felt awed and mesmerized and humbled all at the same time,just before an inner voice warned him to be careful..

Quickly Baldev blinked and looked away,and at the same time removed herhands from his collar as he stepped back..

"Tu ithte kiu ayi hai..?Jaa ghar ja apni..Teri Veerji intezaar kar raha hoga teri..

[Why did you come here..?Go to your home..Your Veerji must be waiting for you..]"He gritted out from between his teeth,as he finished unlocking the door,and entered the cottage.

He was just about to close the cottage door shut on her face,when she pushed herself inside..

She looked at him with angry eyes.

"Kaha tha na main?Ki aaj tainu chaddunga nahi!

[Didn't I tell you?I am not going to let go of you today!]"She hissed out angrily,her nails digging into his biceps,as she grabbed his arm tight..

Baldev could only stare at her dumbstruck lost in her eyes for a few seconds more..

But quickly composed himself,as he looked away yet again,pulling her hand away from his arm.

"Veera ye mazaak karne ki wakhat nai hai..Jaa iththe se..Mainu-..

[Veera this is not the time to joke..You leave from here..I-..]"

"Main koi mazaak wazaak nai kar rahi hu!Mainu-..Ye dekh maine sadai bhi le ayi hu!

[I am not joking in any way!I-..Look here I even brought groceries!]"

Baldev now turned and his eyes nearly popped out on seeing two bags full of vegetables and groceries..

"Ye-..Veera!

[This-..Veera!]"He could not finish his sentence as Veera walked towards the tiny stove he had at the corner of the cottage..

And as he watched thunder struck,she tied her dupatta round her waist and sat by the stove looking as homely and wifely as she could get..!

She was taking out the vegetables from the bag,when she looked up at him.

"Aise aakhein phar ke ki dekh raha hai?Khana pakane wali hu tere waaste..!Aise ghoor raha hai mainu ki lagda hai jaise tu mainu hi kachcha chaba jayega,khana pakane ki koi zaroorat hi nahi hai..Hai na?

[What are you staring at?I am going to cook for you..!The way you are staring at me it seems you are going to eat me alive,there is no need to cook,right?]"

Baldev just opened and closed his mouth as no words came out..

She raised her eyebrows at her and Baldev sighed out,as he felt a strange tug at his heart..

He was sure these were all part of his hallucination..He had now gone completely crazy..Veera could not come up dressed like this,and get homely and wifely by cooking food for him..He was sure in a few seconds she would simply vanish into thin air just like the Mirage she was..

And suddenly he felt he wanted to watch her like this as long as he could..Just to get the picture saved in his mind for good..Something to hold onto as he lived his lonely life in strange places..

But this Veera was not ready to let him do as he wanted,just like real life Veera,this Veera was all ready to create havoc in his life..

"Arey!Abhi bhi iththe hai tu?!Jaa!Jaake nahake aa!Tab tak khana taiyar bhi ho jayegi..

[What!You are still here?!Go!Go and have your bath!By that time the food will be ready too..]"She scolded him in a typical wifely way,and a confused and dazed Baldev did just that..

While Baldev was coming back to the cottage dressed in a fresh jeans and purple kurta,he was sure she would not be there when he went back..

She had been just a figment of his imagination,a compliment of his tired mind and body..Never could the real Veera dress like this for him,or come to cook food for him,or talk to him so lovingly..

He was just too tired,and he needed to go home and cook a light something and go to sleep..Sleep..That was what he needed..

But as soon as Baldev entered the cottage,he stood rooted at the door..

A mat had been spread beautifully at one side,with plates and glass..And a delicious aroma of something that smelled like his favorite paratha and daal and matar paneer reached his nostril..

"Aa gaya tu?!Chatti chatti baith jaa!Khana thanda ho jayegi!Baith na!

[You are back?!Sit down quickly!The food will get cold!Sit!]"

Baldev did not know why he was not surprised to see her there still..

And like a robot,he sat down..

But when he nearly burned his finger while trying to tear a steaming paratha,the way she was at his side instantly,holding his fingers away,and scolding him for being careless,and then blowing gently into his fingers..Baldev was in another world..And to add to his surprise,she did not let him eat by himself anymore..!

Gently she tore the parathas and shyly she started feeding them to him,blowing onto the food to cool it a bit if it was too hot..

And quietly Baldev ate from her hands without any protest..It was not everyday that a man's reality surpassed his dreams and mesmerized him with its beauty..And Baldev wanted to relish every bit of it..

This was what his heart had hungered for so many months..This was what he had yearned for..And now he could not believe he was seen something like this happening..So much more was happening than he had ever dreamt possible..!

Suddenly he felt his vision getting blurry,and he quickly looked away to get rid of the embarrassing tears..

"Ki hua?Mirchi lag gayi tainu..?!Le pani peen..Nahi ruk oye!Maine to lassi banayi hai tere liye..

[What happened?Did you bite on chilli..?Here have some water..No wait!I have made lassi for you..]"She said softly,and Baldev felt another strong tug at his heart,as he watched the soft flush across her cheeks,as she handed him the glass..

When their fingers touched while he was taking the glass from her hand,Baldev felt the familiar current pass through his body,and their eyes locked in a hot scorching look..

Veer looked away first,and suddenly baldev realized he had been the one who had done all the eating only..

"Oye Veera!Tu nahi khayegi..?!

[Oye Veera!You won't eat..?!]"He said busily,when to his surprise she mumbled something about not being hungry..

"Aise kaise?!Aisa to bilkul nahi chalega!Tu mainu ye bakwaas khana akele thusayegi,ye to bilkul nai chalega!Tainu bhi khana parega..!

[How can this be?!This just can't happen!You are going to feed me all of this rubbish food,this won't do at all!You also have to eat..!]"Saying this with an impish smile naughty smile, he forcefully started feeding her..

Suddenly as he fed her the third mouthful of food,he saw her eyes shining with unshed tears..

"Veera..?!Ki hoya tu-..

[Veera..?!What happened you-..]"

"Tainu meri khana bakwaas lagi..Kinni pyaar se banayi main..

[You did not like the food I cooked..I cooked them so lovingly..]"

Instantly Baldev felt bad for teasing her..

"Wo to main mazaak kar raha tha..!Paar khana saach mein bauhot achcha bana hai!Ye dekh main kaise abhi bhi kha raha hun!

[I was just joking about it..1But the food is really good!See how I am gobbling them down even now!]"

Saying this he truly started eating with a huge smile plastered on his face,as Veera's eyes brimmed fuller..

In his enthusiasm hestarted on a huge green chilli,and instantly started gulping,while his eyes and mouth burned with the heat of it..

Veera laughed out loud,as she fed him a huge glass full of lassi..

As Baldev sat reeling from the impact of the fading spicy taste of the chilli,and also her teary laughter..Somehow he felt she was not really crying for his calling the food bad..He knew his Veera well enough to know that..

Veera poured another glass of lassi for him,as she wiped off another stray tear,as she faced away from him..

Her tears had come on seeing him smile after such a long time..And the way he always said her name made it sound so beautiful..

She quickly wiped off the tears falling down her cheeks as she was about to turn to face him again..

But as soon as she did,and looked at him with a smile,her heart skipped a beat..

His eyes..They had the same knowing look in them which always unsettled her..

Finally as Veera cleaned away the last remaining dish,she was lost in thoughts of how to tell him the actual words..

The words she had come to tell him tonight..The words that would suffocate her soon,if she did not get them out of her system..

"Veera.."She nearly dropped the plate in her hand,startled by his voice from just behind his back..

"Tune jo bhi kiya iss vaaste shukriya..Vadda achcha laga..Aab raat bauhot ho chuki,ghar wapaas ja..Baaki main vekh lunga..

[Whatever you did,thank you for this..I am very pleased..Now it had become really late at night,go back to you house..I'll look after the rest..]"

"Par main-..

[But I-..]"Veera could not finish her sentence as Baldev placed her bag round her shoulder,and gently but surely pushed her towards the door..

Veera suddenly realized he was throwing her out again..!

He was again trying to block her out..!

Instantly her temper came to her rescue,as she pulled her hand free from his,threwher bag onto a corner of the room,and pushed him up against a wall..Her eyes burning with fury.

"Veera,tu-..?!

"OYE CHUP KAAR!Kaha tha na main ki aaj mainu tu bhaga nahi sakda!Nahi khud bhaag sakda hai!

[SHUT UP!Didn't I tell you that you cannot get rid of me today!Nor can you run away!]"

"Bhaagunga kis se..?!

[What will I run from..?!]"Baldev asked in a confused voice,his face still a mask of shock..

"Sachchai se!Wohi sachchai ki main tainu chaddke kahi bhi jaa nahi sakti!Na abhi!Na phir kabhi!

[From the truth!The truth that I cannot leave you and go anywhere!Not now!Not ever again!]"She sobbed out..

"Matlab tu ki-..

[What do you mean-..]"He mumbled in confusion,unable to believe the implication of her words..Scared to believe them..

The sky outside was rumbling more..The storm was coming closer..

Suddenly Baldev was afraid of hearing any more..This time he could not live if it all turned into a Mirage again..And this could be nothing but just that..An impossible Mirage..

He pointed the darkening and rumbling sky to her,as he moved her again,towards the door..

"Veera..Ai saab aatein baad mei bhi hoti rahegi..Aab ghaar ja tu..Toofan aa rahi hai..

[Veera..These sort of discussions can happen later too.Now you go home..A storm is coming..]"He managed in a tensed choked up voice,when Veera again pulled herself free of his hold.

"AUR MERI ANDDAR ISS TOOFAN KI KYAA BALDEVA?!!Daam ghoot rahi hai meri!!!Aur nahi chupa sakti main!Aur nahi daba sakti main!Aur nai hondi mujhse!

[AND WHAT ABOUT THIS STORM WITHIN ME BALDEVA?!!I am choking!!!I can't hide it anymore!I can't press it down anymore!I cannot do it anymore!]"She screamed out,surprising Baldev into stillness once again..

"Veera..Tainu achaanak ki ho gayi hai..?Tu -..

[Veera..What happened to you all of a sudden..?You-..]"

"PYAAR!!!PYAAR HO GAYI HAIN MAINU TUJHSE BALDEVA!!!TUJHSE PYAAR KARTI HU MAIN!!!Aur ACHAANAK NAHI!Kahi mahino se karti hun!!!Jaab se tu chala gaya,taab se adhi zindagi jee rahi hu main!Kinna dhunda main tainu,tujhse maafi mangna chaha!Tujhse apni dil ki baat bataana chaha!Paar kahi nahi tha tu! Maaf karde mainu Dev!Maine aapni bachpaane mei tera bauhot dil dukhaya hai..Maafi ki layak to main nahi hun,par phir bhi ek vaari kehde tu mainu maaf kar di hai!

[LOVE!!!I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH YOU BALDEVA!!!I LOVE YOU!!!And NOT SUDDENLY!I love you for months now!I searched for you so much,wanted to seek forgiveness from you!Wanted to tell you my feelings!But you were not found anywhere!Forgive me Dev!I have hurt you a lot in my childishness..I am not worthy of your forgiveness,but still just once tell me you have forgiven me!]"She finished in another sob,as tears streamed down her pale cheeks..

The thunder sound got louder,as Baldev stared at her in shocked stillness..

Her words still ringing in his ears..He still could not believe what she had said..

Without thinking he pushed her away from the cottage,and mumbled something about her going to home and storm coming,again...

And as Veera stared dumbstruck on his open courtyard,he banged the cottage door shut behind him..

He had locked her away again..!She realized with tears falling down her cheeks..

But Veera was not going to give up without a fight this time..She would do anything to get him back!Anything!

She walked forward and banged on the cottage door loudly.

"DEV!Jaab taak tu mainu maafi nahi de deta,main yahi ithte tere ghaar ke saamne khara rahunga saari raat!Aane de aandhi toofan jisko bhi ana hai!Mai nai darti!

[DEV!As long as you don't give me forgiveness,I will stand right here in front of your house,that whole night!Let the storm come!I am not scared!]"She declared.and stomped out into th open courtyard.

Within seconds,as if taking her challenge the sky broke open,as strong gale blew the rainwaters around too..

Veera stood shivering in the rain,not caring about anything other than the man who had locked himself away from her yet again..

Suddenly after a few minutes,the door opened and with her heart thudding and her body shivering in the cold wind and rain,she watched him walk out to her..

He stood just infront of her,already soaked to the skin..His eyes glinting with something strange..

"Vaddi zyaada ziddi hai tu,nai?

[You are so stubborn,aren't you?]"He whispered huskily,as he took another step closer to her.

Veera stood her ground,not moving an inch,as he moved closer still..

Her heart thudded madly,as he looked at her with those dark eyes burning with a sultry look..

"Saach mein nahi jayegi tu..?

[You are truly not going to leave..?]"He continued in his soft husky voice..

Veera slowly shook her head,and he moved closer..

Now he stood still with his hard body almost plastered to her soft trembling one,as heavy rain poured down over them soaking their body to the skin..

Veera shivered as another strong gale blew,and her stomach muscles knotted in tension,as she bumped into his hard body..

"Tainu mujhse darr nai lagdi..?

[You are not scared of me..?]"He whispered huskily,his eyes now looking like molten dark chocolate..

Slowly she shook her head again..

He moved his face closer to hers..Rain water falling down his dark handsome face..

"Saach mein..?

[Truly..?]"He whispered again.

And Veera numbly nodded,already lost in his dark burning eyes.

He moved so close now,that she was literally plastered to his hard body in every way.

Suddenly in the next instant,before she could take in the next breath he had picked her up in his arms..

And as Veera held on to his kurta,in sheer surprise,he locked hot hungry eyes with hers,and walked towards the cottage with her in his arms,as rain and thunder continued behind them..

Really good update, liked it.

Bloody hell what a bloody excellent update, it was so well written and full of emotion. You could imagine every scene happening. Veera's stubborness , , baldevs tears, the meal, all of was just awesome. You should really send your stuff to the writers, you write angst and emotional scenes about a million times better than they do.

Just the update we needed after the pile of crap episode today
