That in the space of a little over a week, Samrat has turned a new leaf when not long ago, I mean really not that long ago he beat Urmi unconscious and then told her he should've broken her bones so she couldn't have reported him. I mean really? Really?

I'm watching today's episode with him being all happy and cheery with everyone and wishing Urmi and I don't believe it! If they were tiring to show a redemption, they failed because this is totally not believable to me.

This man who is set in his ways, has been like this his entire adult life (maybe even earlier) just changed so much in the space of a couple weeks?

Yea I don't buy it nor can I believe they tried to redeem him so quickly and so unbelievably!

I absolutely agree with you. I thought Urmi would walk out of the party the minute she finds out that Samrat did all this for her. Did you see the new montage? It shows Urmi and Samrat close to each other compared to the one before where Urmi and Samrat were on the opposite sides with Tauji in the middle. If the Cvs wanted to show romance, etc then why did they take such a serious subject of domestic violence? They cannot just shove what happened under the rug and move on. Honestly, I have no respect for this show anymore if they are going to excuse everything that Samrat did and Urmi will accept it.

Yes the new montage sickens me actually to show them happy together so suddenly. How is it believable that he changed from his philandering, wife-beating ways so quickly? I am used to seeing things in these serials that would never happen in real life but this show was actually showing a dose of reality about what some women face in their marriage so showing Samrat changed so quickly doesn't fall in with the story nor is it believable to anyone watching this show from the start.

I mean did Samrat even apologize and ask her forgiveness for what he did? No!!! He throws her a birthday party as if that is supposed to fix everything! And everyone just swallows it like its all alright again. Except Anu who was skeptical about his sudden change.

I have given up on the show. It's a crap, nonsensical, irresponsible and unethical show! The producers and the creative team that is making the show are all irresponsible people that shouldn't be making TV shows. I know I sound harsh but I have never been so disappointed with a show before!!

And yes, I did quit watching the show. I can't bear to generate TRP for it. I do visit the forum to hear like-minded feedback.

I find it hard to believe that Samrat has truly changed. I am sure that once Amrit takes over his business, Samrat will be back to his ruddy ways..:(

You are absolutely correct - I was going to start a thread on this topic but I noticed you had already made one :)

Getting back to the discussion - this is utterly ridiculous - what the CVs are showing currently - literally just a few days (may weeks in tv land time) ago Urmi was beaten black and blue and Samrat's only regret was that he didn't beat her badly enough to where she wouldn't be able to report him.

To show that character go from "women are shoes" to "let me plan a surprise party for my wife" completely unjustified and unrealistic. The only believable aspect here is that Samrat in true Samrat form will go to any lengths to satisfy his ego. He only did this cause it hurts his ego that his wife isn't doting on him or madly in love with him anymore.

If he's truly sorry and repentful for what he's done - he could start by apologizing to her. None of this party crap to gloss over his brutal behavior towards her.

Agree with u completely. No way this is acceptable. Tv shows are now a days becom useless. They cannot show what is right. Everyone should understand that beauty is skin deep, and face is not the index of mind.

I stopped watching this from last week. This show has nothing to show, just time waste.

Honestly now watching the episodes I am thinking Urmi's character is even making less sense. A person who gets abused and beaten up the way she did would be actually terrified to be in the same room as their abuser. Especially when he has severely beaten you up. You need a lot of time to heal. When a person hasn't gone through a mental and emotional healing process they are hardly able to move on in life except for thinking about what they went through. Yet she goes on to take care of the man 24/7 rather then even flinch at the thought of being so close to him. 😕

And I asked this same question as you yesterday...this makes no sense. The first emotion anyone would feel is some sort of guilt. And not say to forget about what happened but actually be guilty and say sorry but I am assuming its only a little happy phase and he will be back to himself once that property of his is gone.

I find it unbelievable too. If Samrat had shown this side of his after he had slapped the first time, then maybe it would acceptable. But after 3 years of emotional, verbal, AND physical abuse? No one changes that much and that too in such little time. He wants his wife's attention when she ignores him but never valued it when she listened to every word he said silently.

I agree. Its sickening.

I think I'm going to stop watching the show for a while. I had really hoped that the CVs would've had Urmi leave Samrat. The man is an animal who cannot change.

And I mean if they really wanted to hold onto the whole idea of like having a life partner who is very different from what you expected, they could've just had Urmi get like remarried and her navigate that marriage where the guy is different but doesn't abuse her. Like there are so many ways the CVs can go and they decide to change Samrat? Like gross.

And even if they do want to show that Samrat can change (which personally I think is not possible), then they should take it slowly, have him lose everything, even Urmi and then begin to realize people's worth, etc. Not this fast-ass transformation that doesn't even make sense.
