I've watched Balika Vadhu since its beginning, its only after Sanchi's wedding track i have stopped watching it. So, being the loyal viewer of this show it really hurts that they are killing or replacing or making exit the golden and central characters of the show. The show doesn't become a great show without great actors and good story lines and its really hard to imagine a story without the central characters of the show. Singh's are the life of this show but makers won't understand this because by adding a unnecessary crowd they are just delving grave of Balika Vadhu. They can add as many as characters but they should not eliminate the central characters and actors.

Dadisa- As Surekha Sikhriji ...She is the life of the show and without her Balika Vadhu is not Balika Vadhu ...

Basant- As Satyajit Sharma...is the biggest support of dadisa...and also a very realistic character ...since they are deciding to make him dead...its the most blunderous thing they are doing...without him dadisa will be lost. Dadisa loved both her sons but i feel that she is strongly connected with Basant more.

Gehna- As Neha Marda...she will be always remembered as Gehna...fearless, beautiful, expressive and most importantly a women with courage to speak her heart out. Makers of the show won't believe but after Neha's exit her character lost its charm.

Bharon & Sumitra: Anup Soni & Sumitra will always be remembered as Bharon and Sumitra, though the actors themselves have decided to quit the show but still i feel that Badi Haveli is really incomplete without them.

Jagya- As Avinash Mukherji/Shashank Vyas: Both actors did a great job in portraying child Jagya and adult Jagya. Shashank Vyas did a fab job in portraying Jagya's character with so many shades. To me he will be always a lead of the show not the side character.

Anandi- As Avika Gor/ Pratiyusha Bannerjee: To me face of the Anandi will be always either Avika or Pratiyusha because they played the character so realistically that its hard to imagine any another girl taking their place. Toral is a good actress but since Pratiyusha Benerjee left the show Anandi's character lost its midas touch.

Another mention:

Ganga: As Sriti Jha: She was one actor who made me watch the show again but after her exit even Ganga's character lost its charm.

Sometimes I feel that Jagdish is not a weak character, who possess so many qualities ! In the initial phases ...the writer conceived a weak and susceptible character of Jaggdish so that he could mend it the way he wants to change the course of the storyline to take it further and farther.! At every stage of his life Jaggiya stands at the crossroads...with confused mind...not knowing which way to go...with his face as the mirror of the complex thought processes that went through that character's mind... With a smile on the lips or a slight twitch on his face, a knot in the brows, a curl in the lips , a fumble in his words or with a searching looks in his eyes! He could convey the true radiance of love and affection, the ugly, scheming side of a wayward person who temporarily went astray and the glorious romantic traits of a prince charming with ease and elan, as the script demanded from time to time! Truly, the actor is a Director's Delight !

And what we can say about Pratyusha ? The enchantress of expressions ...the queen of action scenes , and for many in the world[ then ...when she was there ...many countries followed this serial in a ritualistic way !!!] .. she is the real Anandi ...The'' Pratyusha Effect'' on that character is immence ...she contributed in her own way by inspiring the writer with her extraordinary acting skills !

Balika Vadhu is a unique serial ,miles apart from other "run of the mill" serials ! Yes ...as you rightly mentioned ,it is losing it's charm day by day !!!

beautifully said!it already lost its grounds,it became RBV means Replacement Balika Vadhu.All the main characters like smitha,Basant andAnoop anjumun all of them left.The Golden period of BV was wen Avika and pratuysha were there but once Saanchi entered the show lost its charm completely.

Sorry but I beg to pardon 😊 Agreed the show has had a lot of replacements and that too at a time when the viewers were getting hooked to watching the actors playing the character but all the replacements have done well enough

Toral initially was not good but now whenever I think of Anandi its her face that comes to my mind. You should see the recent episodes she has become a way better actress and her scenes/ expressions are apt for the scens

How ever i disagree with TM in one thing replacement has not made Ganga lose the charm Sriti was brilliant no doubt amazing , beautiful , excellent actress never wanted her to leave In fact i started to like her from this show I am might be among few because Sriti is already an established actress but this is first time i have seen her acting and watching her second show just because i liked her here so much but i feel Sargun is doing good job Its not because of her character lost its charm Character 's charm is kept alive because of her its cvs fault they don't give her much to do I am sure in present even Sriti could not bring any charm if only she would be shown doing house work or massaging feet of DS Ganga is not even shown in many episodes ? This month in how many episodes so far they came ? How can cvs be so unfair ?

Sidra ...totally agree with you ! Both Srti and Shargun portrayed/ portraying the Ganga character with great elan ! In this case ...there is no complaint for replacement ! Sriti defined the Ganga character with pathos and with a special zeal towards love and life , and Shargun is taking that zeal with that character in all JaGan's pursuits ! They complimented each other ! Never distanced ..nor distracted from the main content of that role ! That is the beauty of that character and the actresses !!
