if its all about booking holiday release.

the worst is diwali. i think the diwali pooja day collections dips too much. i remember golmaal 3 after great opening, dipped on 2nd day.

i feel HSKD would have had a bigger opening , 10+ if not released during ramadan. its good that ek villain just made it before the start of ramadan.

it will be interesting to see how kick kicks on first day. here,its still ramadan ..don't know about india and parts...

i still predict a 33+ opening for kick.

Only Christmas release I remember was 3 Idiots. That was just phenomenal. Watched it almost everyday of my 10 day Christmas vacation. 😆

What is releasing on Christmas this year?

There has to be more than just holiday

2010 = EID top grosser (Dabangg) - Xmas release was Tees maar Khan

2011 = EID top grosser (Bodyguard) - Xmas release was Don 2

2012 = EID top grosser (ETT) - Xmas release was Dabangg 3

It'll be interesting to see who wins this year. - Aamir with his Xmas. Salman with his Eid or SRK with his Diwali😆

Dabangg on Eid day

ETT 4 days before Eid (independence day though) but remained big numbers for following days

and yes...this yr will really tell...the popularity of a khan. eid, diwali and xmas.

no excuses...none at all.

Oldies are signing more movies. Soon the oldies would eye the other holidays -- like Gandhi Jayanti and post-IPL weekend -- reserved for Hrithik, Ranbir, Ajay, Akki, et al.
