Anoop Soni, Raghav of Star One's Remix, is leaving the show in order to spend more time doing his other serial CID (on Sony), which is now turning into a daily. Soni is very popular as Raghav and the channel has decided to end his track rather than replace him.
Soni says, "The first season of Remix is coming to an end and I cannot be a part of the second season. CID is now becoming a daily so it is difficult for me to continue with Remix. Earlier, CID was a bi-weekly show and the dates were manageable. But as things changed, the dates were always an issue.I hate to keep people waiting. So I spoke to Goldie and Shrishti (the producers of Remix) and they were kind enough to understand."
Incidentally, Dimple Inamdar, whose role in Remix is dependent on Soni's character's presence, also has to quit the show because of his exit. Inamdar says, "I am pretty upset because I love the show. I guess things can't be helped."
How will the story of Remix move forward without Raghav? Shrishti Arya, the producer, says, "Raghav had a job to do.
He was on the show to help students understand the importance of studies and also facilitated their romances. He has finished his part and will now move on to do social service. I did try to persuade him. But then he has some genuine problems so we can't do anything. Poor Dimple also had to leave the show as they both had their tracks together." Is Arya sure that another actor will not be brought in to do the role of Raghav? "We don't plan on it. Let's see what the future has in store," she adds.
