In all likelihood, Irrfan and Sushant Singh Rajput will star together in a film based on the Amrita Pritam - Imroze - Sahir Ludhianvi love saga. Both the actors have liked the script and given their go ahead for the project. Currently, the search is on for a female lead. Kareena Kapoor Khan was initially offered the role of Amrita Pritam but the actress declined it.

Gosh Kareena 😵 Even if this news is false, Sushant already has the best line-up among all the newbies..For all the arguments we have on SidM, Varun, ARK and Arjun, imagine if this guy beats them all next year 😆

I have serious doubts on this news, from what I know, he has other projects after paani. Then again, who knows he might do it as he is a fanboy of irrfan and if the script appeals to him or director is great.

We've also got to know that Priyanka Chopra has been approached to play Pritam. "The makers want to cast an actress who can hold her own in front of an actor of Irrfan's calibre," adds the insider.
