The list is going to be short today since most of the second half was a drag with Raghu in focus...but there were some sweet NY bits nevertheless.

1) The scene at Akhlaque Uncle's place where Nikumb totally stumped me by suddenly acknowledging that he is Yamini's friend😲😆...this was absolutely my fav. moment in the epi...why? Cuz Yamini had already resigned herself to the colleague tag and was about to introduce Nikumb as her colleague when Nikumb interrupts her and the way he says that he is her friend...damn sweet😆...I like this unpredictability to Nikumb's character...if the previous epi was all about him resisting any friendship tags, it seems the moment at the chai stand where he noticed Yamini's hurt and disappointment at him not calling her his friend ended up being the catalyst for him to let down the walls he's build around himself just a little bit more and admit her in...a simple thing like friendship looked so sweet in this scene.

2) A brief NM narration snippet at just the right moment...since it was obviously BIG that Nikumb admitted friendship...lol so NM explains it in his own inimitable manner...that for the first time in years, Nikumb has openly acknowledged a girl as his friend...but even as NY draw closers, there is Raghu standing in the way inevitably.

3) LMAO@ Nikumb comparing his friendship with Yamini to that of Azam with Shaheen...seriously, Nikumb? Has he not seen both of them flirt with each other?😆...By the way, Nikumb just can't hide his happy grins these days...kitna khush lag raha hai...friendship ka glow😆

4) When Yamini is thanking him for helping her and he stops her so she goes, "Dosti mein no sorry no thank you" and he goes badi filmy hain aap to which she goes, "Ab kya karein, aapki tarhaan bade writer toh nahin hain"😆

That was about it...the second half was a total drag with Raghu ka b'day surprise set up and him planning in his head how he's going to tell Nikumb off...Akhlaque Uncle's reaction to seeing the Singh home after many years was nice though.

Precap: Looks like Raghu will take Nikumb aside and threaten him...Nikumb was looking back at him pretty calmly though from what I could tell...didn't seem very perturbed😆...and seems like he will leave abruptly after that...again I wonder if/how Nikumb's behavior towards Yamini will change after this.

HAven't seen the episode yet so will comment later.

But could resist adding a something about Nikumbh's high/lows and changing emotions...are they friends or colleagues?

We will have to give him that liberty of being a theater person with all the dramatic flares and highs and low! Love that aspect of his character...that flightyness ever though inside he is really really deep! his emotions run really deep!

LOL yes I guess he loves to add the drama of a twist when he can😆...but then Yamini is no less filmy...oh that reminds me I forgot to mention another cute bit:

When Yamini is thanking him for helping her and he stops her so she goes, "Dosti mein no sorry no thank you" and he goes badi filmy hain aap to which she goes, "Ab kya karein, aapki tarhaan bade writer toh nahin hain"😆

I feel otherwise the moment of acknowledging her as a friend was a way of REACTING to the hurt he noticed in her...in the same way that he ultimately fulfilled his promise to her to come to the engagement only to not hurt her feelings...she's begun to matter...that is what all these things show I feel...you should watch the way in which he admits he's her friend...the confidence and the smile when she turns to look at him in surprise😆

Ah an episode to acknowledge the friendship. Agree with the previous comments. Yamini matters to him. Very well put.
I liked how the acknowledgment came with some wise words of advice from Aklaque, "before any misunderstanding, talk. Before fighting, smile". The look passing between Nikumb and Yamini seemed to be him gesturing to say that these were good words of advice and her agreeing. Let's see if they will be remembered and put to use when hurdles are inevitably raised by Raghavendra.
BTW, havn't these new friends learnt to communicate very well through words and small gestures.😉

Oh thank you for reminding me...I forgot to mention this bit...I thought it was absolutely beautiful too! And so sweet...yes Akhlaque's advice made them exchange a knowing look😆...Akhlaque is well cast so far...I like that cliches were avoided.

And yes very true...these new friends have a remarkable ability to communicate even without words sometimes...like today Nikumb stopped Yamini even before she got a thank you out...it's like he read her mind😆...and even before they became friends officially, weren't they having convos in their mind with each other? haha

I was googling Neelesh Misra yesterday...didn't know his first wife's name was Yamini😆...anyone else find that an interesting co-incidence that the female protagonist is named after his ex-wife? lol

And then the fact that the "Kyun" song from Barfi is written by him...which included the lines "Chal bhatak le na Baawre" which have then been reused in the title of this show in a sense.

And then the fact that "Puraane Khat" is an old poem by him that has now been used in this show
