this is the worst show ive seen, non of the characters have consistancy,
gauri wants revenge so she users her son and makes him sacrafice this love to get it, but she could have taken her revenge anyway because her son is rich and powerful. so gauri though befriended by kamla gauri is an elitist, and would rather see her son marry in her same standed the lower.

nature verses nutrure
Pakhi is the big experiment, and the CV;s played with her character big time. now she is neither this nor that.

same goes with
raghav, who does not have a mind of his own, first he listened to his mother and married pakhi, now he listens to pakhi and does what she wants hoping not to hurt her, and he listens to kalpi who does not want to be the guilty person in the end.

kalpi is sailing two boats at the same time, does she want to make it to the top independently or marry a rich guy. i still feel she has given up on her own self respect to please others.

Kamla is unreliable, she switches sides very easily, she calls herself mother of the two girls, but she is mother to neirther. mothers dont abandon their kids, they try to bring them on the right track, but today kamla has abandon pakhi as she is on the wrong track, and has decided to side with kalpi. which mother does that it proves saying someone is your child does not make her your child. for me kamla showed poor quality.

pakhi is young and immature she does not know the goods and bads of life. she obviously showed and told pakhi pretty dreams that one day a prince would come and take her away and make her his queen. while bias giving kalpi the ideas of becoming great and rising about her status. pakhi questions were as valid as kalpis, but kamla never abandon kalpi as she did pahki today. kamala failed as a mother

All I know is that Evil is Evil. Pakhi is Evil and deserves the slap rightfully. Her parents are murderers and she will also turn into one very soon because of her IMMATURE nature.
Evil always loses and Good always wins so I will never support an Evil character. If everyone in the serial abandons Pakhi and her parents, it would be a very good message that Evil people and Evil blood always lose.

Kamla has not abandoned Paakhi...but the other way round. Paakhi had always used Kamla knowingly and unknowingly ...Kamla has always given her all to Paakhi and always tried to keep her on the right track. She had always taught Paakhi the right thing to do. She had advised Paakhi to win Raghav with love not conspire against him and win him by deception. That was all Paakhi's doing. In this as you rightly said, nature won against nurture. Though Kamla tried to nurture her with love and right morals , Paakhi's manipulative, egoistic and deceptive nature won the struggle and she showed her true colors and the fact that the Kapoor blood does flow in her veins afterall. So Paakhi has proved that nature cannot be altered , only modified according to circumstances. Paakhi was sweet when it suited her and when it came to her survival she returned to her roots.
Kalpi has never loved Ragzs for his money , she always loved him for himself. She also believed in achieving her dreams on her own and has time and again refused Ragzs's help in doing so. She always knew her mother favoured Paakhi and even so loved her so never stood up to Kamla . She also knew that all said and done Raghav was in the wrong and she is aware of her parent's pain adn humiliation that they suffered due to her broken marriage, so she's keeping peace by not standing up to them. At the same time she's also firm in her resolve to love Ragzs so she is standing up to Pakahi and Kamla for her sindoor marriage. Kalpi has proved that not only is her nature truly gentle and good but her nurturing by her parents is good too.

Raghav has never had any nurturing in the first place having been left alone to fend for himself in this world. So he's always been selfish and looking after his needs for survival . He got his first taste of love with Kalpi and gave his all to fight for it and keep it. He was almost successful but suddenly he was given that one love for which he had been desperate for all his life- his mother and so he went for it like a starving child landing in a candy store with a free pass. He was willing to do anything to please his mother and keep her with him forever. He also knows that Kalpi will always love him and its just a matter of time after which they will be together...

So all in all I guess each character is true to their nature...

There's a saying, "children are a product of their environment", I don't mean like an area, I mean the household, the manner in which they were raised and the parents they have. Analyze Pookie, Kalpi and Raghav's environment and then you would get a better understand of how each one turned out to be the way they are.

@daisyfields well explained. but I don't agree with you totally. CVS have butchered most of the characters to an extent. In general, any show modifies the storyline to suit the characters, but in EMA they have experimented with characters to according to story line. Kalpi and Raghav were introduced as strong characters of EMA but after Ra-khi they made them dumb in most of the scenes.

@aanchal57 merrydock is not Ra-khi fan, she commented in many Ragna posts. Its her general opinion about pakhi, and the way the cvs are taking this poo track.
