I agree with you completely... If they bring the MU keeping "Trust, Openness and caring..." intact i am all for it... I love RR for this foundation of love and trust.. and would not want the uniqueness to fade..

That seems to be what most people want, no going back to Varun being the good guy. That ship has sailed...and it might make the story a lil bit dark...not sure the show can afford another slip in the ratings because of that. Thanks for sharing your thoughts in this thread. Let's see what the creatives have in store for us.

@ A twist that injects venom into paradise: Agreed. But the key thing, as you point out, is a twist that makes us weep. That slices into us as much as it slices into PaRud. For that the tone can't be light-hearted. It should make us bleed, close a fist over our hearts and squeeze. We shouldn't be able to swat it away as a minor irritant. That's when the intensity will return and that's when, when the resolution comes we'll welcome the release.
@ Varun not as black as he's painted: 👏 Now that would be brilliant! Could be achieved with a couple of flashbacks. And would leave Paro torn between the past and her future. Much angst could be achieved.
@ Shantanu convinced of Varun's guilt: This is the angle I see this track taking. And then Paro will be duty-bound to reform him, much to Rudra's dismay and fury. Again it all depends on the intensity that is injected into this plot. I sincerely hope they don't rush it, but allow it to build slowly and play out fully.

Good to see you here Sabs! Thank you for sharing your thoughts as well.

I love how you've elaborated on that, it has to be a twist that makes us weep and slices us as much as it slices Rudra-Paro. Anything less will. It hv an impact.

Varun not as black as painted would be an awesome twist. The general consensus seems to be that they don't want to see RR go that route...although I feel it wud add a nice dimension to this story. But I do see how it's a risky step at this stage, so most likely they will not go that way. So the next best option seems to be of Shantanu convinced of Varun's guilt and Paro trying to redeem him. They can bring in all sorts of other angles here, Nandini, Tejawat. Story of the other missing girls... sigh.

The CVs of RR seem to think that villains can only bring twists by their villainy and that they are only meant to bring together parud... whether it was Thakur , Laila or Mohini. None of them has managed to create a split between Parud.

I hope this villain is able to do something that causes a change and a reconciliation... that's the only way this relationship will have spice in it!

I like the ways that you have suggested... they are different from the usual jealousy and other angles... which have been done to death and would look artificial on Parud.

What would work best for Parud is an ideological conflict... much the way they started... but I want Paro to change because of this this time...

Hi Ash ( I hope I can call you that. Newbiesoapfan is so long 😆) you know it's funny, we must be the only fandom who is trying to think of ways to bring about a separation (emotional or physical) between the leads! 😆

I agree, an ideological conflict triggered by the reailty that Shantanu brings to their lives would be a treat, I would imagine.

Thanks for sharing your views here. Let's see what the creatives have in store for us, may be they r thinking along the same line.

Fair enough. How about we look at this way, think of it as something that tests the strength of their relationship?

I love what they hv here, trust, openness and caring but what fun if nothing puts that to test?

Enjoyed reading your post.. And your TWIST... it'd be a treat to watch. 😊 Also, it makes more sense than creating silly MU BETWEEN paro and rudra . These two are way beyond that.

-kate-

P.s.. Missing you stickman post.😊

Hi Kate, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the twist. When we say they are beyond that, it's starting to make me realize that if the leads develop a very strong relationship very early in a show, it might actually be detrimental to the show itself. What do you do spice things up in that case!

Thanks for the mention of the stickman 😃

, like give him a valid reason for his actions , make the choice difficult for the viewers
story can be reworked from any where , this is a good place to start
and yeah dont go all in , let the suspense prevail
mistake they did wilth all the villains till date is they made each one of them too vllainee , no grey , pure black whether mohini , laila , takur , they was nothing good or correct about them , they cause do anything , no boundaries that a bit difficult to accept and a different genre all together

Hi there, most people have expressed their liking of the second option may be the first one makes things a little too complicated and dark?

Either way, like you've mentioned, the story can be taken just about anywhere using what we already hv in terms of characters as well as backstory. Let's see how they take this forward

Spirit-sa, awesome post. All good ideas to make this show more compelling. However, it requires the writers and creatives to come out of their now desperate need to fit their story into the typical daily soap TRP winning formula. The possibilities are plenty, if they shed their lazy story telling and convenient plots to move the scenes forward, most of all dumbing their heroine or needing to paint their hero white, the one who can make no mistake even unknowingly.
