I am not a dancer nor do I have that huge knowledge of dances and dance forms.

I am just here to seek some good reasons.

Puja and Rajit Dance form is FreeStyle.

Sreesanth n Sneha - Freestyle.

Mouni n Punit - FreeStyle.

Freestyle according to me so far was the one which is done on the spot and that is what the wikipedia and many sources too.

Freestyle is one dance form which doesnt have a planned choreography and is done on the spot.

"Freestyle is a way of dancing in which the dancer improvises his moves on the spot, as he dances, instead of having them planned beforehand (ie choreography). In its most extreme form it is the very opposite of choreography, however it can be argued that such an extreme level can never be reached, as we all to some degree plan our moves beforehand. To give an example, one might put on a piece of music and start freestyle dancing to it, but having heard the piece before, and having practiced different moves earlier, one can never 100% freestyle to it. Having heard the music before, one is bound to unconsciously plan for different parts of it, and the moves that have been choreographied beforehand will inevitable be a part of the dance. This can be seen in many freestyle dance competitions where dancers, although ostensibly freestyle dancing, still perform trademark moves or sequences they've practiced earlier.

Not to be confused with All-Style dancing, in which different dance styles are mixed."

It means that few steps which has been practised earlier are inevitable to avoid on the spot dancing but the complete routine isnt preplanned.

Freestyle dance form is something else too?

on the reality shows ive seen they take freestyle as being a dance style where you just chuck in random steps from various dance styles and that's more of fusion than anything but these days freestyle is used to hide flaws instead of showing proper knowledge of the genre being performed...

"
By definition, this kind of dance is never the same from performance to performance, although it can be done formally and informally, sometimes using some sparse choreography as a very loose outline for the improvisation."
so techinally what they are doing it isnt even proper freestyle cos every step, every beat ctaching movement is preplanned..

could have got it wrong not a dance major so peace people
:)

True! FreeStyle is now taken to escape from the judgement and can be done with flaws.

Surprised that Remo never even points out the basics when done wrong.
