Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania had a good first day collecting around 9 crore nett on day one. The film was very good in Delhi city and East Punjab with Delhi city comfortably going over 1 crore nett mark and East Punjab also crossing the 1 crore nett mark.
Rajasthan and Mysore also did well while Mumbai circuit also had decent collections despite torrential rain in Mumbai city which would have been in strongest area in Mumbai circuit. The other circuits like CP Berar, CI, Nizam / Andhra had average collections. FLOP.
The film will score well in North due to the content while the rest of the country should also manage good collections at least for the weekend. The film could show growth on Saturday as its strongest circuits like Delhi and Punjab tend to grow on Saturday. The collections were the seventh highest collections for day one this year.[/quote]
