This is based on current track which has made almost all of us frustrated...this is not about ishra romance like my earlier story...this is just an OS ... from ishita's point of view
PLOT: Adi confesses to Bala about accident. Ishita gets to know from bala that adi did the accident and Raman is protecting him.
Hundreds of thoughts crossed her mind...her mother's close encounter with death, Raman's lack of trust on her, shagun's game, adi's attitude with no remorse whatsoever...She was totally confused of what to do...in spite of what raman-adi-shagun was doing for past few days, she could not get a 12 yr old child to go to jail...this sympathy was not because he was her husband's child, it was because he was just a CHILD...she knew she would have done the same for any other child as well...
A part of her understood Raman's behaviour but he chose to hide it from her than confiding in her ...and she just could not digest the fact that Raman did not even make Adi realise what he did was a grave mistake...instead he gifted him with picnic, that to with shagun ... raman had the audacity to take ruhi too...
She knew she needed time to think...whatever she decide now, her future depended on it...her father pushed her to marry raman and she agreed to marry him for ruhi...At present the last thing she wanted was losing ruhi ...ishita kind of understood that adi was and always will be raman's first preference no matter what and his obsession for adi was making her insecure about ruhi...
She talked to her family and everyone wanted her to give up the case...now that her mother was fine...she understood she had to do the same ...But, this time she will make sure this sort of shit will never thrown at her again...Ruhi is the only priority for her and she will go to any length to get Ruhi a proper family atmosphere to live in...Ruhi needed her and raman alike...it was her responsibility to get hold of raman before he spoils his, hers and ruhi's life for adi...She was an intelligent woman and it didn't take her much to think that shagun will use adi to get back to raman in future...and with today's scenario she knew raman will end up doing it... eventually she will lose ruhi too...
Ishita felt guilty for thinking about ruhi and herself alone...but she also had the right to be happy in life...and her happiness lies in ruhi...this was the fact and she knew she have to be stern and put her foot down firmly this time...She was not angry with raman but he was no more the Raman whom she knew earlier...
She composed herself and called Raman and asked him to meet her in the nearby park urgently...Raman was anxiously waiting for her when she reached...She greeted him and told him to take a seat...raman was disturbed with her calm behaviour ...he requested her to speak up...ishita opened her bag and took out a stamp paper and told raman she wanted his sign on them...raman asks her what is that and she replies...our divorce papers. Raman is shocked like hell and jumps to his feet..."what the hell ishita!!! why in the world will I divorce you...are you out of your mind". She smiles sarcastically and tells him to relax... "Raman, I was kidding...our marriage was for ruhi and the reason still stands, so..."
Her voice trails off, she takes a deep breath and looks straight into his eyes and held his eyes before speaking up...raman was dying inside with guilt of what he was doing and apprehension of what she was about to say...Finally she speaks up...
"raman...i may sound absurd to you but, listen to what I have to say and then you can decide whether you want to do it or not...i know adi did amma's accident and you are trying to save him...i'm touched by the love you have for your kids...there is no second opinion regarding your love for adi, I know you will go to any length for him...even if it involves anybody's life...i don't intend to do any moral policing but still cant help telling you that you went overboard this time...you as a father should save him from going to jail but at the same time you should have made him realise what he did just for FUN almost killed an elderly lady...my mother...but you chose to gift him with a family picnic...you sadly surprise me!!!
Now, coming to the point ...these papers are ruhi's custody papers.......Raman confused starts to interrupt when she raise her hand to stop him...."let me finish ...This states that in case our CONTRACT marriage ends up in a divorce at any point of time, ruhi's legal custody will be given to me...i want your and shagun's signature on this as a price for letting go of the charges against adi and shagun...your son will be free and that is what you want, right?
Raman was shocked and angry..."why will our marriage end in divorce...how can you talk like this and why should I give you sole custody of ruhi...She is our daughter and I have equal right on her just like you...how can you be so insensitive to ask me this... No ishita, this is not done...".he was angry and devastated...
Ishita though afraid of raman knew today she needs to take a stand ...for raman to realise he cant take her and ruhi for granted...He needs to think about them too and stop messing up his and their family life according to the whims and fancies of his ex-wife...She gains courage and speaks up...
"It is simple raman...i know you love adi and you would do anything for him...one day he will ask you to get back with shagun for his sake and you will again be stuck in the same situation of not knowing what to do and probably you will end up doing it...that means you will take ruhi too with you...then what will I be left with...i know if you could marry me for ruhi you will very well remarry shagun for adi...I know, I sound manipulative but it is a fact that shagun hates ruhi ...it is known to both of us...and she will never give ruhi the attention and love she deserves...so as a mother it is my duty to see to it that my daughters future is secure...just like you are selfish for your son, I need to think about our daughter...i know I'm asking a father to give away his daughter's legal custody to another woman...but believe me raman, I never want ruhi to live without her father...i want her to have both parents, I want her to have a sense of security...of loving parents..."
Raman got up and he was visibly shaking with anger...ishita's heart was hammering in her chest...She slowly stood up trying to keep a straight face...He caught hold of her and shook her..."How dare you, ishita...How dare you talk such nonsense...i will never divorce you, I cannot think of spending a second with shagun let alone marry her for god's sake...u make me feel sick...i know I did a lot of mistakes but what you are telling is bull-shit... I know you and ruhi is my family, my present and my future...i love my son but ishita...i know my limits and I will never cross them...believe me...there is no need of any insecurity...ishita, I promise you...i will win back your trust...even if it takes a life-time."
Ishita coldly takes his hands off her..."Raman, it is not about US...it NEVER was...it is about ruhi, her future ...and I'm NOT pleading...you want me to save adi, right?...i got to do the same for ruhi...i have the footage of the accident with me, got it retrieved from the computer hard disk, I have witnesses, I have everything to win this case...above all, truth is on my side...dont make me do things which I don't want to...i NEED your and your ex-wife's signature on this and believe me, I will never be the first person to sign on our divorce papers and I will never ever take away ruhi from you or her family...i just want to make it clear to you that our life and our togetherness is for ruhi and this is not a joke...i need the signatures today..."
Raman leaves knowing there was no point arguing. He knew ishita would go to any length for ruhi...Raman knew he didn't have any choice ...he hated himself for signing on those papers, Shagun signed on those papers with an attitude of a person who was selling her old scooter...He could not help laugh at the irony, the difference of the 2 women in his life- his past and present ...He knew he needed both ruhi and ishita...he could not live without them but, he was the one who pressed ishita this far...She was right on her part...He promised to himself that this is his last goof-up in life and that he would make things right for their sake...for his wife and daughter...
Ishita wiped her tears...She knew now before Raman does anything again he will think twice... she was manipulating Raman, she knew it...but she also knew she had to do it ...For ruhi, for raman, for her and for their future...
