With his attitude not only Sandya even Zakir is convinced that he is not the culprit but he was trapped. BUt as they are the government servants, they can't take decision based on their heart and mind but as per the proof. To prove him innocent, they need to capture the culprit and that can only happen if Mohit is cornered. Since they have captured him with the stolen bike, they can't release him out without a bail or unless he proved innocent. Bailing is ruled out for next two days and the only possibility now is to prove him innocent. So they are unable to assure him anything.

I do not feel bad for Mohit at all. He deserves this and more. He was so rude to the family. He was at fault for lying about his job. Bhabo is at fault with him too. She never corrected him when he lied about computer, Emily. Those were such a big mistakes, using money that was given for a course for something else, lying about getting girlfriend pregnant. Bhabo was so into making Sandhya look bad, she did not care about Mohits' mistakes at all. At least Suraj tried to correct him with computer issue. Even Emily knowing how Mohit lied , she never stood for herself. She even went behind Suraj and family and hid the truth. Bhabo threw him ut because she looked bad infront of family. If she corrected him with first mistake, he would never try to do second one. I hope Bhabo gets what she deserves soon.
