Well ppl i have no rights to post this topic but still since we r approaching the galas we shud make the right decision now and not let gr8 talents get out. So here are a few tips tht i wanted to share with you, and want u to share with everyone;-

1. NEVER GO BY THE LOOKS.

The most beautiful of flowers have the most terrible thorns. Judge a singer by his singing NOT BY WHAT HE/SHE WEARS OR HOW GOOD HE/SHE LOOKS. Ofcourse u can admire him/her by his/her 'personality' (seriously, this word has got a totally new definition after ii3). No probs if u have a crush on them but plz......... pyaar mein andhe math ho jaana. If we go by the looks then Paris Hilton shud be the President of USA and George W Bush , a sweeper.

2. Complete package

Some ppl may say tht 'just singing makes a good playback singer but we r searching for an indian idol'. You r absolutely correct buddy! The singer should first have amazing vocal talents, next amazing confidence (no stage fear) (no! looks dont come second....imagine sonu nigam singing on stage with knocking knees) third comes the rapport with the judges and audiences (eye contact) fourth smart and good looks and finally wat we call the X factor tht includes good sense of humour, charisma, dancing styles etc

3. The 'close your eyes' trick

close your eyes and think tht u dont know this person who is on stage. think tht this is the first time u r listening to him/her. Wat do you feel? is he/she singing well? if yes dont sit there like nitwits..grab ur cell and vote. if the song doesnt appeal ....change the channel.

and yes when i say close ur eyes i mean close your EYES not your EARS!

4. Nature

Many of you may not agree to this point but i feel one shud also check out for the contestants nature, wich is made very easy these days bcoz the channel airs personal stuff of the singers all the time. Like we know emon is a prankster, richa is a wierdo, chang is a shy cutie pie etc. But hey! ultimately its singing tht matters. Also check for traces of arrogance. For the love of god we dont want another anu malik!

so please ppl vote wisely . we dont want history to repeat itself and seeing yet another amey,meenal or antara getting voted out.

so these were a few things tht i always keep in mind. I hope u agree with atleast 50% of it. U r free to add ur own opinions too. All of them will be gladly accepted!😃

I feel your viewpoint is too theoretical and less practical ... becoz. when it comes to public voting, it all depends on how u connect to the viewers/janta .... some connect thru their singing, whereas some connect thru their attitude/style,etc ... I m sure u would agree to me that Smita is a better and versatile singer than Suhit, but if there were a stage-show organized, who would draw more crowd ???? 😊

In an ideal world, we would all follow it. But that doesn't happen often.

I don't agree with no 4. How do we know if the channel is portraying the contestants' true natures? Who knows if its manipulated or heavily edited? Also, since II3 comes on TV, it would be hard to close eyes and listen for the full hour (though I admit, I do that sometimes 😆, for a few minutes, when I want to listen carefully/closely, especially if its a slow or sad song)
