Why does it matter ? And why should it be surprising if actresses try to lower their age ? The industry has them with one foot in the grave by the time they are 30 and gives them an expiry date by the time they are not even 35 while fat. bloated, wrinkly, botoxed male contemporaries rule the roost a decade or more replacing them with younger and younger. I would do the same if I was in their place.

Julie released in 1975. Sridevi looked like a 13/14 year old in that movie. So she was 13/14 when she was shooting for Julie (1973). That makes her 54. 1960 born.

Oh ya.. During big boss time I remember reading about Shakti Kapoor and his family. And I clearly remember Shraddha's DOB mentioning 1987. And dat 4 years during Aashiqui makes sense too.
Why does she need to lie about it now when her contemporary Parineeti is very much happy abt revealing her age? She is 25.

Because she is not happy getting old. Just like the rest of the human population. Whether female or male.

Even if she was 27 or 28 that's not old anyway.

Trust me, if they could, they would try to lie 😆 bad luck for most star kids who have featured in magazines since they were children, they would find it hard to lie about their age.

It certainly doesn't happen as much these days thanks to the net. But I'm sure back in the day it was rife.
