If the truth had unfolded, Pari would have got a shock, shouted several times that 'it's not true etc etc' but on being explained, she would have walked out of the mandap. I think this is something on which Pari had been very clear since the beginning- she didn't want to break anyone's marriage, she didn't want to snatch the rights of anyone's baby.
Naren would have followed her, shouting that this is all untrue. He wouldn't have believed Ankita's words, twisted into something that benefitted him, and vented out all his anger (of Pari walking out) on Ankita, shouted at Ankita etc. etc. Naren started becoming good to Ankita ONLY after she backed out of the marriage and he was able to reunite with Pari, before that he was downright nasty to her even when he was told she had saved his life and was his wife who loved him very much. . If Ankita again became a thorn between him and Pari, he would have started hating her again, as simple as that. And he would have used the same statement to justify himself as he had said last time:
I was not in my mind all these months, whatever happened I don't care about it at all. This marriage did not take place with my consent. He would have just hated Ankita and refused to take responsibility of the child, though after some months he might have melted and accepted them both.
