Rishi, a member of Shourya's group is one we haven't heard much from. But at least he is smart enough to want to back out of Shourya's plan to murder his own brother.

And he is clever enough to know what Shourya's real motive is. I don't think we are talking about career criminals here, but some overprivileged guys who got drunk on their power for too long. Which isn't to say they don't belong in jail.

But it's crucial that even Shourya's so-called friends Rishi and Karan have doubts about killing Dev in cold blood. It may not be an attack of conscience, but may be a realization that they can't keep committing infractions of the law and getting away with it. I mean, Karan's father is a powerful minister and even he has doubts about going through with this thing a second time.

Plus, it is killing a Goenka and not just anyone.

@trina the gang is splitting up. We can see the symptoms. Rishi will be the first I guess to leave the gang. As these days he is fed up and does not want to do more crime.

This breaking up will benefit Durga as I strongly feel in later one of them will betray Shaurya and will turn prosecution witness to get lesser punishment.

And there has been post that Rishi didnt rape Payal. he allowed her to escape. If that is true Rishi will be the prosecution witness.

I always believed that this guy is going to betray Shaurya sooner or later. Friendship based on financial background dont hold water in the long run. Its only friends like Nitya and Dev who make history.

They are already facing stress over the rape case. They do not want further and bigger trouble for themselves once again for Shaurya's personal vengeance. Shaurya's friends are now realising what mess they got themselves into by keeping company with a guy like him.

I agree totally. The splitting up will hurt Shourya and benefit Durga. One or preferably more than one will betray him in a plea bargain. When they come to think it's either them or him, I think they will save themselves because they have all seen his temper and self-centeredness. He is ready to commit another crime just to save his own skin. And basically, they have all been protected from birth so they are inwardly cowards. They dont want to face another trial if things go wrong. Murder is worse than rape in the eyes of the Indian law.

And some of the original witnesses who helped them in the trial, Ganguly, the police chief are already alienated from the Goenkas. When Dev, a member of their own family, aligns himself with Durga in support of the truth it can only spell trouble for Shourya.
