Hi every1, i have been a silent reader of most of the posts in this forum. This is my first lengthy post. Am not against anyone's thoughts here but would genuinely like to highlight my POV on little kids dancing in the show here.
If you have few mins go through these and counter the same with your views. Would love to have a healthy discussion here with all of you. I reside in the west so there might be delay in response but would definitely read through.
Highlighting my thoughts:
-> The channel is to be centered/questioned for having brought in a 9yr old child as a contestant along with other celebrities trained/non trained dancers. As for Akshat is concerned he was just brought to limelight and was provided publicity required.
Agree ?? Do we think he should have sat at home denyng the offer ...definitely not.
-> How many of us as kids have danced in a stage ??? We know what stage fear is what nervousness is ...dont we find these kids excel in both these platforms ??
Honest answer YES.
-> Alongwith being a software professional/wife/young mother I have also been a dance tutor for kids under 14 for few years hence i can boldy call out it is not easy for a kid to stay in a reality dance competition for 4-5 weeks in a row. It needs stable stamina, proper diet,health and extensive rehearsals ..after days of rehearsing i've seen kids tend to get shy off in front of huge audience, forget dance steps , miss the coordination etc.. hw many times have we seen both these kids give a faulty perf. ...
We have to agree whatever they try to do whether it has vigorous moves or not they just go beyond to deliver their caliber.
->Lots of criticism on the funny irritating expressions of these kids ..I have a question. They are competing with other celebrities who come up with unique concepts every week.
What else can a 9yr old showcase other than expressions or funny faces ..Can he romance ? Can he kiss his dance partner ? Can he do all lifts ? Will it not be more weird for a child to do all these ...
-> We find him arrogant , we find him showing some attitude ...folks will he even know what all these adjectives mean ?? He and his dance partner are just following instructions from their choreographer ..only thing they would have pulled up would be confidence or over confidence to compete with people who are at least thrice their age or even more.
Genuinely, if the grown up celebrities themselves tend 2 forget dance steps, rush in to miss coordination, just do sme lifts here n there to score 27 and many more examples to quote...being a dance teacher & a mother i would give a HATS OFF to these kids for they have JUST managed to hang on to the show delivering so called dance without any noticeable flaws.
Though i totally agree there hasnt been much dance in their show they are definitely NOT to be BLAMED.
One thing which we can complain is the scoring by the judges but again Colors as a channel/Jhalak team behind the show and all 3 judges need to be held accountable not Akshat/Vaishnavi.
Even if we do not like their dance lets at least not bash them left right just because they are competing/scoring more than our fav. celebrity star. Personally i also vote for Ashish/Shakthi/Mouni but that doesn't stop me from saluting the little kids for i understand the pain they are into to an extent.
