Raghav ran making kalpi smiles. She puts her hand out like she was an air plane enjoying the breeze. He turns and looks at her from the corner of his eyes then he turns back running even faster making her rubber band come of. When Raghav turns back around he was mesmerize, her hair flying everywhere, the sunset reflecting her beautiful eyes making her even more pretty. He looks one more time to capture the scenery in his eyes. Not seeing where he was going he trip on a rock making the wagon fall heading towards the water.

Kalpi screams but it was too late she fell in the water. Raghav got up and went to her

"Are you ok kalpi?" he asks watching her pull her hair apart to look at him.

"No Raghav, this is not fair." she says

"What is?" he says coming closer to her.

"This" she says before pulling him in the water making him fall. She got up and laughs. While laughing the sun hit her complexion making her looks like a goddess.

Raghav just stares at her giggling until she looks at him and splash him with the water, making him snap out of what eve dream he was in. he got up and throw water at her also, Both of them playing laughing around.

Pakhi and kamla were heading to the temple when they saw two kids playing in the water. Paki envy them, she wish she could be free like that. Kamla looks at them playing and shook her head. Those two should be studying instead of playing outside. Typical poor people, they have nothing better to do, they waist their time doing this instead of rising to be rich. She thought

Pakhi was about to leave again when Raghav turns around and she saw his face. That's my hero she thought but what is he doing with that girl she thought watching him pick kalpi up and spinning her around. Watching them made her feel something she didn't know what it was, so she brushed it aside and walk away.

Raghav picks kalpi from the water and puts her down. They both look at one another, both of their clothes soaked and wet. Kalpi looks at the sky and realize how late it's getting. She got up and grabs Raghav hand. "Lets go, I have to hurry up. I need to go to the temple" she says Raghav not wasting time bends down. He told her to get on his back because that's the fastest way to reach her house and the temple. She hesitates at first but then got on. She held on to Raghav neck and he ran. About 10 minute later they reached her house. Their she puts five bread in a basket and gives it to raghav, than she changed to get ready. Once she was out raghav almost drop his basket.

"You look amazing" he says making her blush

"Thanks raghav" she says stepping out the house. They made it to the temple and reach up the stairs. Once there the priest told her to perform the dance. Raghav sat on the floor watching kalpi get in the center, making the moon shine on her. Everyone that came to the temple sat down for the show. When one of the children from the temple started playing the flute kalpi started dancing Bharatnatyam. While dancing kamla was amazed by her skills. What a beautiful dance, she dance like she has been dancing for ever. She thought.

Raghav sitting on the ground felt drawn to her, the way she dance, the way her eyes would look his way, but he knew she wasn't really looking at him. While dancing her facial expression tells a story. She looked sad while dancing but as the flute went faster she started smiling. Pakhi didn't like the girl dancing, she search for raghav when she did find him he was hypnotized by the girl dancing. That girl is like a snake, no one can break the trance she puts them in unless she shoots her. She thought getting an idea, finding a small rock she throw it at kalpi while dancing, hitting her on the head but instead of stopping like she expect her to do, she continue dancing, Blood appearing from her forehead. People saw it and started whispering. Raghav seeing this walks to her but she continue dancing.

"Kalpi" he says grabbing her hand making the flute stop

"What are you doing?" she asks

"Your bleeding, stop this so you can clean it." he says

"Raghav I can't stop, the ritual already started besides the gods are almost pleased with me look." She says showing him the flower that's growing in the center where the pond was. Raghav was amazed he didn't see that there before, deciding not to mess with the ritual he let her go and she continues it. Once she was done the flower bloom.

Everyone cheers for her, even kamla. The priest saw kamla and hides; he looks at her again and then looks at kalpi. What is kamla doing at this temple? He thought I hope she doesn't see kalpi he thought.

He turns back to look at kalpi when he saw an older boy next to her. That boy, who is he? I can feel a beastly vibe coming from him. It's not good. He thought watching him put a bandage on kalpi forehead after watching it. Then he saw kalpi smiling making the priest sad. She's gonna gave a sad life with that boy he thought "good and evil does not mix" he thought before going inside the temple.

Raghav took kalpi home and then left. The next day sahil was recruiting new people for his army. He sat down watching them not satisfied he says "isn't there anyone that thirst for war that is a savage on the battle field." He asks making them all look at him, just when he was about to sit back down he remembers the boy from yesterday. That boy, he would make an excellent addition to my army quickly calling his messenger. He told him to fetch the boy that works in the market for transportation. The man wrote down all the information he needs and then left swiftly.

Sahil smiles evilly, "that boy I can use him to my advantage and get rid of vitthal" he says "after all I've been waiting a long time for this." He says laughing evilly

Raghav was working as usual not knowing that the guards asking people for him were right next to him. He was about to move when they grab his shoulder.

"You're the boy my king is looking for" they said making him confuse

"I'm sorry but you probably got the wrong one." he says walking away

"Hey stop!" says the leader of the guards, when raghav ignores them they tried to grab him only for him to, grab the guards hand and flip him over, twisting his hand. "I said you got the wrong one." he says, everyone stop and watch the scene, kalpi who was putting a batch of bread heard people talking about what's going on and she also heard raghav voice, decides to stop him from causing trouble. She followed his voice and when she was close by she touched his arm. Raghav turns around to see kalpi touching him concern was on her face.

"Raghav please stop" she says making raghav let go of the guards. He Apologize and the leader got up angrily "come with me" he says grabbing his hands roughly and dragging him all the way to the palace. Kalpi heard them leaving with raghav and got worried. She hopes that he's not in trouble.

Once they reach the palace, the guards drag him to sahil. Pakhi was on her way to the bathroom when she saw raghav with the guards heading to her dad room. She was confused why would raghav come to see my dad? She thought looking at the door that was now close.

Once raghav was inside, the guards let him go, sahil told him to sit but he refuses.

"Why am I here?" he asks

"I have a proposition for you." He says getting raghav attention

"I want you to join my army and help me." He says shocking raghav but he soon got over it.

"I'm sorry, but I refuse." He says

"Please just think about" he says

"I don't want anything to do with war, or helping you rich people." He says

"This will change your life style, boy. Don't you want some where to live, new clothes and people to respect you?" he asks

"People will respect me, but respect is earned. I can not cheat the poor for your own gain." He says angering sahil

"You will regret this boy." He says

"There's nothing to regret." He says before leaving the room and walking down the stairs.

Sahil calls his guards pissed off he told them to follow the boy and kill his family and bring him back his head. Pakhi hearing this gasp, when she heard the guards coming out she hides behind the wall.

Elsewhere, raghav back to the market to get his wagon, just when he was about to leave, kalpi held his hand. "What happened raghav?" she says

"Nothing don't worry about them, they just offered me a position to join their army." He says lifting the handle from the floor.

"I hope so; I heard sahil can be very cruel when he doesn't get his way." She says

"Don't worry, I will be very careful." He says before saying good bye to her.

Raghav went home, not knowing sahil men's were following him. He reaches his house and hugs his nephews then he went to his aunt again talking about his day and his friend kalpi. "Seems like you like this girl kalpi." She says

"Yes aunty, she is so innocent and kind. I like her a lot" he says

"That's good; make sure she's just like me. Someone that will make sure you never loose sight of yourself." she says

"Of course aunty, your number one after all" He says making her smile

Meanwhile the guards decide to make camp near by so they can kill his family when he wasn't home. Kalpi was walking home thinking about what happened. She knew something wasn't right. She could feel it, while walking she felt someone watching her. She didn't know who, but she knew something wasn't right. She stops to listen then she says "come out and show yourself" when she didn't hear anything she felt tense.

Scene 1 Raghav left the house as soon as he did the guards enter his home, killing each and every one of them.

Scene 2: kalpi was heading work when the guards attack her, she used her stick to fight them off but then one of the guys managed to stab her making her fall on her back.

Scene 3: when raghav went to work he saw a body lying on the floor not moving. He soon realizes it was kalpi. he ran to her calling her name, when she didn't respond he took her to the temple where they could burn her body, after all that was the right thing to do.

Scene4: when he came home he found his whole family massacred, he was shocked. he cried until there was no more tears. one at a time he took each of their bodies and pile them up then he burns them. once he was done, he was about to pick up the ashes when the guards attacked him

Chapter 4.

Pakhi was in her room tense, she didn't know what to do. She wants to tell her hero what her father planned to do, but she didn't want to betray her father. She sighs and sat on her bed, just when she was about to get back up she heard a carriage, and the servants talking outside. She got up and went to the balcony. Once she was there she saw her brother coming out. Happily she put on some clothes and ran out the door. As soon as she reached the entrance she saw her brother looking angry and he had mud on his clothes. He walks past the servants and even past paki. He walks straight to his room, when he reached there he took his clothes of remembering what happened five minutes ago.

5 minutes ago, kalpi was walking heading back home. While on her way a carriage walk right by her splashing her with the mud puddle. Upset she screams making the carriage stop. She walks in front of the carriage and demanding to speak to the owner. When he steps out kalpi could see the shadow of the boy, he was taller than her and just by his voice she conclude that he was older than her. He was glaring at her and judging her with his eyes.

"What is it?" he says hands cross

"You accidentally made mud get on my shirt" she says

He smiles and says "that's why you disturb me" he says when she didn't reply he says "if you'll excuse me" he says about to leave when kalpi grabs his hand.

"I want an apology." she says making the boy surprise, he snatch his hand away and says "if anything you should be the one to apologize." he says smirking

Kalpi not liking this thought of an idea when she saw something round on the floor. She smiles and walks closer to him. She could see a small shadow below him; she quickly jumps and hit the puddle. By doing so the mud landed on prem face and clothes. She backs away and laughs when she saw him covered in mud. Prem was angry he was about to hit her when his teacher told him to leave it alone. This made prem angrier, sighing he looks at her one last time, before going in the carriage.

Present, prem sat on his bed and says " that girl, I will get her for embarrassing me like that." he says before getting back up to go visit his father.

Meanwhile, the next Raghav woke up and said his good byes to his family. While leaving the guards was watching him, making sure he's gone. When he reaches his job he looks at where kalpi works and realize she's not there, he went to the owner and asks about kalpi. He says "oh, kalpi wasn't feeling so well so I told her to go home."

"What's wrong with her sir?" he says

"She's just sick, nothing terrible" he says making Raghav relax

He thank the owner and went back to work, he decided that after work he will go visit her.

Elsewhere, the guards gather together and entered Raghav house. His uncle seeing them was about to ask them what's going on when the leader cut him with the sword. The kids saw what happened and screamed; one of them went to the aunt waking her up.

"What is it Abhi?" she asks confuse

"Some guys came in and killed uncle" he says making the aunt scared. Quickly she grabs her stick, she told Abhi to take her to his sisters. When they reach their Abhi saw the guards stabbing her. He cried and told his grandma what happened. She got down on one knees and told Abhi to run, run as far away as possible.

"No I can't leave you." He says crying

"Abhi listen to me, go to the temple. They will help you, please just go" she says looking at her one last time Abhi ran to the back door; luckily the guards didn't see him. The guards saw a lady kneeling on the floor, they laugh and one of them walk to her holding her face.

"Well boys look at this, isn't she a beauty" he says

"We should keep her boss" said another

"No you idiot, we have to kill her" says another

"SHUT UP!" says the boss

Making them scared, He smiles and grabs his sword then he saw her grab a stick, The leader observes her for a while and realize she was blind.

"You are blind?" he says

"Yes I am, who are you?" she asks

"I am a guard from the palace." He says

"The palace?" she says

"Why are you doing this?" she asks

"My king wants you and that Raghav boy dead, since he refuses my kings offer." He says

"Is your king sahil?" she says trying to stand up

"Yes he is" he says

"Boss why are you telling her all of this" Says another guard

"Because she won't be alive to tell anyone" He says

"Before you kill me, tell your so call king, that the boy he tried to kill five years ago is alive. He will come to get his revenge." She says surprising the guards

"You're lying, he died on the cliff" one of them said

"Your forgetting the boy has my brothers' strength, no one can kill him" she says upsetting the leader. He quickly took his sword and cut her head off. Making it roll on the floor.

The guards look at each other, and quickly ran out to go and inform the king about this news.

Elsewhere, Abhi was running he ran until his little foot gave up. While running he bump into someone "excuses me" he says making her turn around he looks at her and realize she was blind.

"Who is it?" she asks

"My name is Abhi, I need help" he says panicking

"What do you need help with?"

"I need to go to the temple. I have to see the monk" he says

"Ok then follow me, its close to my house." She says while sneezing

She directs him and he grab her hand leading the way. She smiles to herself; they walk for a while until they finally reached the place. Quickly he ran up the stairs and called for help, everyone came out. The priest saw kalpi and asks her what she was doing here. She explained the story and said her goodbye. Once she was gone, the little boy explained what happened shocking all of them. They took the boy inside and calm him down. The priests on the other hand took five monks with him, heading to the direction the boy told them.

Kalpi was heading home, when she someone watching her, she looks around searching for the person when she heard a noise she says "whose there? Show yourself?"

The person comes out looking at her. Kalpi hearing his footsteps turn around with her stick in her hand. The man didn't say any words but instead attacks kalpi; she blocks it with her stick, which he cut in half. He attacks again and she dodged it. She could hear the sword sound swishing. Every time the guy strikes she moves and dodges. But she missed a step and the sword cut her, holding her hand she grab the two stick that was cut in half and throw it at the guy. When she did that he tried to block giving her the chance to tackle him on the floor. Both of them held the sword tugging it. Kalpi wouldn't let go, she kept tugging until the guy used one of his hands to punch her in her stomach, making her fall back on the floor.

Quickly the guy got up and cut kalpi back, making her cry out loud. Lots of blood was oozing out, she looks at the guy one last time before closing her eyes. Meanwhile, Raghav finished working. He puts the wagon down and decides to visit kalpi. While walking to her house he saw a body lying on the floor. Quickly he ran to it and got on the floor. He shook and says "hey, are you ok?" when he got no response he felt something wet on his hand. He looks at it and saw blood on his hand, he turn the person around and was shock to see kalpi. Quickly he got up and ran to the temple. He knew they could help her; he ran and ran until he finally reaches there. He quickly jog up the stairs and yells for help.

When the monks came out they saw kalpi in Raghav hand. Panicking they told Raghav to follow them and they told him to lay her on the mat, once he did that they told him to leave. Raghav protested at first but than he complied, as he was leaving he kept thinking about kalpi. Just when he left Abhi came out. He was sleeping when he heard a noise. One of the monks told him to go back to sleep and he did.

Elsewhere, paki told her mother that she wants to go to the market. When her mother agreed they quickly left. While riding the carriage paki saw Raghav walking away devastated so she quickly told them to stop, confusing Neetu. She walk out of the carriage and ran to Raghav, quickly she stops in front of him, But he pass right by her, she tried again and he was about to side step her when she grab his hand saying "Raghav, listen" she says getting his attention

"What is it?" he says

"Your family is in danger" she says making him look at her

"What do you mean?" he says making her gulp

"I overheard my dad talking the day you left the palace. He told the guards to follow you and to kill you and your family." She says panicking

Raghav was surprise, he knew he felt someone following him, but he ignored it. Wait does that mean they were behind kalpi dying? He thought getting angry.

"I was right to reject his offer, he's no good." He says before thanking her and leave heading to his house in hurry. Pakhi watched him leave and prayed that his family is alright.

She got on the carriage and Neetu asks her what she was saying to the boy and she said to her it was nothing. Neetu not caring that much decides to ignore it and tried talking with her daughter.
